Keep in mind Jaedong has been training solely for ZvP for a while now and is finally looking comfortable in the matchup. I would be very surprised if First is able to beat him. I think his PvT and PvZ are about equal. Same story, he's capable of godly play but occasionally he'll just utterly shit the bed. He plays greedy and sometimes falters under aggressive play. His strengths are in how diverse and methodical he can be. Also, he probably handles muta switches better than any toss I've seen.

Although Rain's stubbornness is definitely being successfully exploited, I think the comparison to CreatorPrime is premature -- Rain's mechanics are still arguably the best among Protoss players, and much better than Creator ever displayed. The fact that he managed to stay in the games for as long as he did despite having a huge economic disadvantage is credit to how strong he is. Taeja is arguably the best TvP player in the world, though.

Great observing. @ Scarlett: lovely play. Hope you have a good break and return refreshed to be better than ever.

Also props to ESL for awesome production value this weekend! Really nice overlays, everything is very fluid, loving Chobra presenting and interviewing/translating. The map veto process could be worked upon yet. Seems like only the first bans of the players get communicated properly to end up on the overlay. But that's just a very minor complaint. Great tournament so far! Now let the Summer of TaeJa 2.0 make it perfect. ![]()

![]() Of course there are several forces at play here. Bomber's law combined with Jaekong and Taeja's summer dominance means its going to be a Taeja, JD final with Taeja winning it. That's the safe pick.
