The usual: Don't flame casters or players. Don't discuss balance in this or any LR thread. Don't call your fellow posters idiots. Be excited, happy and entertained. |

you figure alcohol would be banned at these events

I don't get how you can whine about balance, there's yet to be a real upset. The Terrans who should lose (Thorzain) are still losing.

Normally people got expelled from events behaving like that regardless if they paid or not.

Though I think you're all being a bit precious about complaining about some booing. Have you never been to a sports game? You have your heroes, and your villans, and it adds to the narrative. If they are booing the medivac boost, I'm sure there's no malice behind it, it's just a fun 'mini-game' that has spontaneously happened at this event.
No bro, this is a total outrage and I am EXTREMELY ANGRY that a bunch of random people are booing at medivacs flying too fast. Can't you see how big of a deal this is?

If I don't like X teams of course I will do it like I do every single time I go to the Camp Nou. Stop taking showers of hypocrisy... And stop comparing eSports to traditional Sports as well. Makes no sense..
Booing in individual sports is not very common and pretty shitty imo.
Team sports all is fairgame though

Wow, Flash is playing very greedy. I like it. I like seeing his macro, especially against zerg.

Dude, you don't understand. They have a cause, they believe in something. They're rallying for balance using non-violent protest.
They're heroes.

Nobody bitches in any real sport because the crowd or the players were so bm. If they did they'd get laughed out of the building. lots of people bitched when the crowd booed Junior Dos Santos during is post-fight interview, after his fight vs Cain Velasquez. Even Junior was like "wtf, why?" So yes, it happens with "real sports" as well
To be fair, the MMA crowd are one of the worst crowds in the world. I was going to make a comparison here too but wasnt sure how many would grasp. They boo when fights go to the ground for fuck sake... which is technically 50% of what MMA encompases.
That particular incident where they boo'd JDS was absolutely disgusting though. Great human being, fought with more heart than we usually see (especially at heavyweight) - but the disgusting/moronic just-bleed Las Vegas MMA fans remained true to themselves.

Did FLash open CC first in game 2 vs Ret?

You think the people booing Flash really hate the guy? No. They just want to see Ret win. It's not a big deal. Nothing to get your panties in a twist over. Problem is: it isn't fun (unless you are a mindless asshole) I don't know. It doesn't bother me. I think it's fun that people are actually getting into it instead of sitting there like mindless drones. Because nothing screams "I'm a modern, thinking man!" like booing along with half the crowd.

People boo at MMA events as well, and boxing and pretty much all sporting events, and that is one of those rights which comes with buying a ticket. It's not a matter of whether they should or not, but if they're annoyed by something and want to voice their disapproval, they can. As eloquent as that was, I think the issue is obviously about whether they should.... of course they can, they're doing it.

The amazing thing about Flash sitting outside of Zerg's base with his hellions to deny creep is that he was still playing Brood War when that kind of play was standard, before the Queendralisk patch.
Do you know what that means? He's literally figuring the game out as he's playing it.

No no, they're not Lurkers. Widow mines are multiple use banelings with range that shoot air.

i guess what is killing me right now is that everyone is so shocked to see booing because it couldn't possibly happen in SC2's scene, because we're the vanguard of esports™, or trying to pass it off as only an American/Western thing (when crowds in the OSL would jeer players if they were playing against hometown favorites like in Xellos vs. Reach, 2004).
SC2 has more than a couple million players, BW at its peak more than that. When you have that many players at some point you have to stop acting like your shit doesn't stink.
