Big Shot Gaming is back with another great LAN party for the Central Michigan University community and beyond! The Big Shot Gaming MegaLAN XV, held from 6PM April 12 to 6AM April 14, is Michigan's largest BYOC LAN party - and we're pulling out all the stops this year for an AWESOME StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm event!

Of course, we'll still be hosting other tournaments - League of Legends, Dota 2, and Team Fortress 2 are all making appearances - but SC2 is holding a very special place as an EXCLUSIVE tournament at the event. That means that the SC2 tournament will be running throughout the entire event, parallel to everything else! The biggest and best matches will be broadcasted by our casting team (including the very illustrious WingnutSC [http://www.twitch.tv/wingnutsc]) so you'll have your chance to be in the spotlight at our event!

We would be remiss if we didn't tell you that we're offering CASH PRIZES this year to the tournament winners - $100 to first place, $75 to second place, and $25 to first place. The only cost to you is the entry fee to the LAN itself, $20. That $20 gets you two meals (breakfast and dinner on Saturday), entry to our awesome prize giveaways, and the ability to spend 36 hours gaming with 240 other people in Central Michigan University's Finch Fieldhouse.

o.o that schedule.... 9pm -2am then 10 am- midnight?

think i may have to pass as thats 2 hour drive for 2 days on top of terrible sleep patterns, just kind of killer for someone looking to go just for the sc2 tournament and nothing else =/ If something changes let me know. Would love to compete in it but seems like to much stress and time spent for a small 100 bucks. Will still think about it though.

Though since its a guaranteed overnight thing, what are the sleeping arrangements like out of curiosity?

Yeah, the schedule is like that strictly because we anticipate having a lot of participants in this specific tournament. I don't know if the schedule is really changeable at this point in time - we built-in six hours of sleep specifically so people could have at least a token amount of rest before starting their next round of matches in the morning.

As for sleeping arrangements, our venue is massive. There's always some quiet corner (especially in the balcony bleachers) where it's easy to catch some shut-eye without being bothered. Of course, you're always welcome to sleep at your seat or in a hotel if you like, but we do our best to keep things quiet-ish and dark at night so people can sleep easily.

edit: I should mention that the SC2 tournament is the only one that's exclusive. If you get knocked out of SC2 before another tournament starts, you're more than welcome to play in the other tournament - it's just really hard for some people to count on that happening
