The stream number decline in west has exclusively to do with the casters. If Khaldor/Wolf or Tastosis or other professionals were casting this they would be higher.
For Korea, it has pretty much been fucked up by Blizzard/Kespa and their ridiculous feud. It was simply too late when they had an agreement.

It's because
1. Casual viewers don't feel any connection to the kespa teams
2. The players keep changing their names, how are you supposed to follow someone if they change their ID every month?
3. EG-TL is doing badly and they are the main reason to watch for many casual viewers
4. Casters
5. Breaks are too long for most people
6. WoL interest almost gone, most people are only watching GSL as the last hurrah of WoL.
7. Not enough Bisu
8. You can see the best Kespa players in GSL, so people just watch them in GSL instead where the casting is good.
