Bumblebee confirmed yesterday that they were in talks with Gom to withdraw HerO because of the scheduling conflict; he was confirmed for MLG before this tournament was realized. Mr. Chae responded that they wanted HerO to play even if it meant having him forfeit at the point in the tournament where he would need to leave for the US. If people try to create drama about this I am going to cry.

Hero was going to play at MLG anyway but had a seed by GSL points for WCS. The scheduling made it possible for Hero to qualify for the continentals before flying to MLG. Given that the WCS nationals are only a qualifier tournament (espeacially in Korea, where the GSL is basically the national championship) the descision is understandable.

"Qualifier" tournament with a $25,980 prize pool. O_O

Edit: GOM schedule seems to confim this (I added time tags for reader's convenience) 09:40 GMT (+00:00) 2012 WCS Korea Nationals - Match for 9th&10th place, Match1 10:30 GMT (+00:00) 2012 WCS Korea Nationals - Match for 9th&10th place, Match2 11:30 GMT (+00:00) 2012 WCS Korea Nationals - Loser's bracket, Round8 12:30 GMT (+00:00) 2012 WCS Korea Nationals - Grand Final, Match1 13:30 GMT (+00:00) 2012 WCS Korea Nationals - Grand Final, Match2 Edit 2: I edited the liquipedia article (to single Bo3 matches instead of a DE bracket)
