I think as many have said before, I think the reason why a stream is not set up is because OGN is simply not experienced enough with the foreign scene, and how much foreigners enjoy watching streams, which is a major loss of revenue through commericals and just in interest.

Well, it is their debut tournament in terms of SC2 only. The first time for most tournaments is usually pretty rough.

I like how OGN / Kespa are like "we should not make the same mistakes as we did in BW and be more open about basicly everything" and still dont communicate anything, dont stream anything, dont post any information in the forums.

Trust me as someone with a major stream, the income they could gain off a stream is nothing to a TV station like OGN.

OGN normally has a stream going for the qualifiers. BUT we also have to consider, the OSL qualifiers are set up at a different location than the one they are at today. (AFAIK) And i know Khaldor has said multiple times that the main reason why the Code A qualifiers are hard to cover with a stream is because the venue is not set up for a broadcast in terms of actual set up and internet.
Fingers crossed though.

I think both GOM and OGN must be unsure about what to do with qualifiers. When it's not, there's a set of games they can highlight and commentate. In qualifiers there's just a tonne of games being played and they'd have to pick and choose.

Regardless I think it should be streamed, but at the same time we often struggle to get information from GSL qualifiers. I wonder if there's an underlying or cultural issue we're missing?

Hmm, well in that case, the biggest issue is in the tournament itself because so many people were expecting to have at least seen the major games in the OSL, but now that there is no stream, people are going to be disappointed in not being able to see the games.

i dont see why streaming the qualifiers is an absolute necessity....i always think of it as a bonus.

Agreed. The amount of OGN/Kespa bashing over these preliminaries is getting annoying. Hopefully there is someone down there that can provide updates.

With so many games going on and players there I would imagine it would be hard to coordinate. Do prelims for code A still get streamed nowadays?

They explicitely said the transition to SC2 was primarily to become a more global broadcasting company through more globally accepted games. Besides allowing people without a progaming liscense enter the OSL, OGN hasn't done a single damn thing to establish itself outside of Korea in SC2.

OGN has traditionally streamed qualifiers in BW so it'd be weird to stop now when a large international audience could be gained. I hope it is just simply technical difficulties.

Stream ALL THE THINGS.
The last time GOM streamed qualifiers it was really lackluster and most players didn't even agree to have their matches streamed but now all of a sudden it's an outrage that OGN doesn't stream this.

Insane amount of games and no information about any kind of stream being online for this = "I expected streams, OGN fucked up".
