you realize the point is to pick easy opponents?

I dont agree. The point is to show you are the best player and you are not afraid of anyone. Unless you are the player who settles for like a third or fouth place.

This strategy has worked well for MC in the past.

I know that it didnt work out for MC. In fact..I think my statement includes everyone BUT picking IMMVP. But considering the history of DRG and MVP I think they are evenly matched.

What are you even talking about anymore?

Its about strong players picking the strong players. Like DRG picking MKP and not some chobo like Ryung. I know its not the best strategy but groups of death are exciting.

they played each other in dreamhack yes?

Can I get a quick explanation of how exactly this factors into the tournament? I assume that the people in the group face each other, but I could be wrong.

I need to know if I should be "WHY GOD WHY"ing if all of my favorites get lumped into a single group.

Many of these players have never won a title before.

Hey that didn't stop Jjakji, or that other guy from the Super Tournament...Now if only I could remember his name.

given that 3 people have won a lot of titles, it's not surprising.

Yes, because you are a viewer and not a contender for the GSL title. Now stop being silly.

I'd rather see the best players fighting in the finals, not the round of 16. It's just stupid to suicidally pick players just for the fans.
