USA? When when when did nani became usa? it's a TL meme. Anywho, fuck yea Naniwa! :D :D :D It's not a meme, it's a annoying habit that is encouraged by a certain portion of the TL staff. Curiously all of them are from the US. You guys really don't get it - this meme was started by European TL users to make fun of USA. lol no it wasn't. the meme was started by Artosis when he called the World Team in GSL Team USA. That was the very origin, yes, but the LR meme in cheering for any foreigners with USA was started later by EU to make fun of US. Funny that today EU is silly enough to think US staff is supporting this to make US look great or something. This whole meme is sarcastic. This sentence reminds me of my defense when I act like a douche : " I'm just being sarcastic. " Which brings us to the TL.net Commandment : 2. THOU SHALL OBSERVE FORUM ETIQUETTE- [...]

Uh, that's for graphic memes, Internet memes etc.
This is rather an inside joke, that apparently many new people don't get and get annoyed when it should rather make them feel very well. EU guys really should be much happier with the USA joke than US guys, in fact EU guys made it that popular. And when you see US guys who actually play along, instead of being offended by it, that's even funnier. Pretty sure people were banned for protoss 1a2a3a jokes quite a lot back in the days. I don't mind it though. That was also a balance whine, though. Well sort of I guess. But the attitude towards balance whine wasn't quite the same before sc2, people realized that 1a2a3a didn't apply for high levels of play.

I hate to say it since I love MVP, but he really needs to take a few months off, pay for surgery and have his wrists fixed
|
What the f*** am I watching?
The very best player of 2011 is really playing these games? I mean, he's still a bazillion times better than me, but nothing breathtaking...

It's so sad to see how Mvp's skill level has gone down substantially

nnnnooo man come back and kill dat kid

Ryung winning would be great for Naniwa.

I'm not an MVP fan at all (I actually <3 Ryung), but even I don't want to see that. He really was a great player and I don't think that game is representative of his skills, would be very sad if his wrist issues leads to games like that becoming the norm instead of an anomaly.

Yea Artosis started it but then European TL users kept on saying it to make fun of the US. And then US fans seized on it, either 1) because they appreciate the humour, and are OK with laughing at themselves 2) becasue they feel the need to make up for their lack of good players 3) casue they genuinely think these players are from USA. 4) to be annoying and spam LR threads. Honestly, it's not a big deal. Some people from the US find it funny and some people from Europe find it funny, so they do it. Others do not, so they get annoyed. I don't think it's a huge thing that speaks worlds about any specific nationality. Pretty much. The individuals who leap on things like this to prove some point or other are simply trying to confirm their ill-made preconceptions. In reality, it doesn't say anything.

Hehe, this LR-thread has as many pages now as the one yesterday had after all 5 matches XD

Hmmm, sad to see MVP caught out positionally. That never used to happen.
The Naniwa fanboi in me is cheering for Ryung here, as I think Naniwa has a better chance against Ryung over MVP.

"sunny d is terrible for you, it's all sugar water"... but they're sponsored by an energy drink LOL

Well if he keeps playing like this, you won't be seeing many games of his at all.

To be fair it was just 1a for a while.

MVP looking unpracticed.. Too much resting maybe
But to be fair to Ryung, his TvT has always his best MU!

God Ryung is so much better than Mvp. mmm.

edit: same goes for "outclassed".
I don't mind outplayed, but outclassed is thrown around way too liberally.
