By far!

This year. MMA/DRG/MC were all Code S seeds as well.

Who was the last foreigner to win a series in Code S that wasn't Huk? Is it all the way back to Idra/Jinro?

Sen i think, but that was a loooooooong time ago.

it's a TL meme.

Anywho, fuck yea Naniwa! :D :D :D

It's not a meme, it's a annoying habit that is encouraged by a certain portion of the TL staff. Curiously all of them are from the US.
You guys really don't get it - this meme was started by European TL users to make fun of USA.

Your vote: Recommend Puzzle vs NaNiwa Game 3?

(Vote): Yes

-_-;;

That was far from a good game, silly foreigners and their bias.

Oh let it go.

Let what go? lol, all I am saying is that such a poll is silly if it is to be voted on in this way. Polls are there mostly to help out those who aren't watching live so how is this poll going to help someone who is indifferent in who they want to win or a Puzzle fan?

so what do you propose, forget polls altogether in LR threads?

If you're suggesting people "vote properly" a.k.a. what you arbitrarily deem to be a good game, well good luck with that.

Why?

Why isn't it fair, why is it a sad day, what about all those other times foreigners have taken games off Koreans at MLG's and stuff that weren't PvP or Stephano.

Ya those were 4 really exciting times

(I kid I kid)

Winning a single set is the most success for foreigners in GSL in over a year I think

I can't remember the last time it happened tbh

GSL or code S? sen won in code A not to long ago. And Huk has won Code S matches in the past few months

That was far from a good game, silly foreigners and their bias.

The poll isn't about whether or not it was a perfectly played game.

It's whether or not you'd recommend people to watch it. A non-korean winning a Code S match is watch-worthy

Idra and jinro won plently of code-S matches..no one flipped tables for them =(

Was a different game back then kiddo

For some reason people despise Naniwa on TL, even though, while sure he may come across as a bit of a dick, he's an incredibly talented foreigner who yearns to be the best in the world and is willing to commit a portion of his life to becoming it, and people should respect him for that if nothing else.

Why? It's not like Puzzle made huge mistakes.

Like......blinking into 3 Immortal in g2, and attacking into an army with Collosus when he had none in g3 weren't huge mistakes?

Not saying I'm a hater but dude it's PvP

Yeah, it's not a major accomplishment, but after seeing so many foreigners go 0-2 in the first round of Code A, Nani taking a series in Code S is pretty awesome, even if it was PvP, even if both of them played a bit sloppy. Gotta enjoy this while we can -- the night's not over and he may still fall to Code A, so we have to celebrate while we have something to cheer for ^^

Someone already forgot that naniwa's gsl record before this was 0:10-12 ish and went 0:2 round 1 code a more than once? I dont hate naniwa but let's stay real here and wait for the whole outcome of the group

lets go MVP

He has also beaten the likes of Nestea, MVP, Leenock and many others at MLGs before. He has the potential to do really well if he plays his best.
