Winning a single set is the most success for foreigners in GSL in over a year I think

I can't remember the last time it happened tbh

Your vote: Recommend Puzzle vs NaNiwa Game 3?

(Vote): Yes
(Vote): No

-_-;;

That was far from a good game, silly foreigners and their bias.

The poll isn't about whether or not it was a perfectly played game.

It's whether or not you'd recommend people to watch it. A non-korean winning a Code S match is watch-worthy

Idra and jinro won plently of code-S matches..no one flipped tables for them =(

He's infinitely more successful than the other seeds.

Why isn't it fair, why is it a sad day, what about all those other times foreigners have taken games off Koreans at MLG's and stuff that weren't PvP or Stephano.

It's the first time a foreigner won a series vs a korean in GSL in a pretty loooong time.

This year. MMA/DRG/MC were all Code S seeds as well.

Who was the last foreigner to win a series in Code S that wasn't Huk? Is it all the way back to Idra/Jinro?

Depends on when we define seeds because back when MLG meant you got a code S seed every single one made it to the ro16 then lost.

New format now

Yeah, it's not a major accomplishment, but after seeing so many foreigners go 0-2 in the first round of Code A, Nani taking a series in Code S is pretty awesome, even if it was PvP, even if both of them played a bit sloppy. Gotta enjoy this while we can -- the night's not over and he may still fall to Code A, so we have to celebrate while we have something to cheer for ^^

Someone already forgot that naniwa's gsl record before this was 0:10-12 ish and went 0:2 round 1 code a more than once? I dont hate naniwa but let's stay real here and wait for the whole outcome of the group

lets go MVP

It's deceiving in the fact that he would have a better record if you take out the only foreigner that he played which was jinro, considering he lost both of them.

Ofc deniers gonna deny. Everytime a foreign wnis it's cause the "korean played like shit" and "coinflip victories".

You don't understand, Naniwa only won because Puzzle made mistakes.

Not like usually, when the loser makes 0 mistakes.

...wait.

it's a TL meme.

Anywho, fuck yea Naniwa! :D :D :D

It's not a meme, it's a annoying habit that is encouraged by a certain portion of the TL staff. Curiously all of them are from the US.

It's also a pain in the arse for chat moderators at every single big event. From time to time a twitch.tv staff member will shout "STEPHANO USA" in chat and start a riot.

In some of the european languages it's europa. And you can chant it better because it has 3 syllables instead of the 2 of europe.
