I wonder if it goes through the devs minds to try and make the game more entertaining when balancing / making new units. Cause Goddam ever since Amulet nerf PvX has been zzzzz. As broken as that shit was, at least it gave for some entertaining games.

DRG attacking the bottom would've forced MMA to either head out and meet it or counter.
I just think you are assuming that DRG knew how he would be able to crush the vikings. There was really no indication through the game that a FG would be able to hit even more than 1 viking what then like 10*2. So yeah, if he always could've done so much dmg with FGs guaranteed, it'd have been smarter, but he kind of needed to make something happen, since if MMA had microed his vikings aswell as he had been doing through the game, his BLs wouldn't really be that scary which would've decreased his armies power a lot. So yeah, I think it was the best possible move from DRG.

The best bo7 GSL final game we've ever seen. 2012 will be much more difficult to win with fewer GSL tournaments and more time in between. But we will also see tournaments such as MLG, IEM, Dreamhack, and smaller tournaments play a vital role in the upcoming future.
