Have to say that today, with the insane line-up in mind, that todays games were hugely disapointing apart from the Boxer-series.. Felt like everyone apart from players in that particular series, played sub par with what they're normally capable of (

Why is one group of games being played in the studio, while the others are somewhere else? Khaldor seems like he is at home, and that overlay makes it look like a replay. Why not just have 2 sets of casters, and all 8 games live in the studio?

Nope, everything is live and they're using the 4 booths which explain the delay between matches.
The overlay wasn't there at the beginning, it's not a replay for sure, but Khaldor is casting from home yes.

Khaldor is not casting from home. Did you miss every code A day, the casters saying the 2nd stream cast is really far from the main studio, 1 hour trip, everytime there is a code A the main casters pretty much goes all about how annoyingly far the place where the 2nd stream is casted from.

protoss in dreamhack/MLG global etc : much better play. Just like hero tonight and at dreamhack. I don't understand why it looks like there is such a big difference.

Dreamhack was lacking any top Korean terrans apart from Puma. Much easier to look good when your opponents are weaker.

I don't even talk about the results, but about the way it's played. It looks much better when not on GSL. I understand the pressure to play top korean players any game but wtf ! I mean you're still supposed to show the same skills on both.

I didn't read well. Indeed you're right for this. But it just didn't look like this to me though. They were not only LOOKING weaker but WERE weaker.

So code s next season is guaranteed ( based on this seasons top 8, mirrors in code a and naniwa's seed) 7 terran, 2 zerg 4 protoss. Not a bad start and we have yet to see how the rest of code a + the up/downs pans out.

I will also be interested to see how many of the players who initially dropped from code s this season make it back before the end, there are 4 matchups coming up which contain code s players on each side so that many at least will be back.

Virus was never that good compared to the other code S terrans. People give him too much credit for being able to stay alive in the rigid code S format. There's a reason he was not played once in the GSTL last season despite being code S.

+ Show Spoiler +
and neither was Clide to be frank. These guys got passed up by code A players like Taeja/Ganzi/jjakji a long time ago

boxer is pretty underated, when hes on his macro, he is very good.

people probably didnt even notice that the last mlg he was in (before providence) , he raped stephano 2-0 , then he came from an extended series behind to almost winning it against idra.. If it wasnt for extended series he would have knocked out idra.

Also i believe tvt is boxers best matchup, the mlg that he did really well in (3rd place) is when he had to do a shitload of tvt's .

The most emotion packed matchup of them all :p I can imagine Mr Chae really hoping that Boxer gets back into Code S, him and Idra going to GSL are going to be really good for increasing the GSL viewership.

I'm sorry dreamhack games looked way worse in terms of mechanics + gameplay compared to the GSL. In GSL, when the builds are so refined and strategies so well planned, any small mistake will be recognised and taken advantaged of which is why we get to see poor games.

I'm sure Mr. Chae wants both boxer and MKP in Code S. Both those guys have so many fans.

OMG you're right. They faced off at MLG but this will be the first time in the GSL.

I was hoping for this matchup way back in Open season 2 (then pretty much forgot about it once Boxer was knocked out), and now it's finally going to happen.
