predictions:

MVP > Nestea
Huk > Nada
Puzzle > Ryung
HongUn > July

can't wait for mvp-nestea. really hoping puzzle beats ryung but don't think that'll happen. still believe though.

After all this hype about MVP vs. NesTea, I feel like it's sure to be a lackluster series. Mindgames transitioning into roflstomps from either side.

Everyone hyping it about how it "could be a GSL finals"

so.....quick, embarrassing 2-0 by someone?

omg imagine if the finals are TvT and they play out ALL 7 sets

that could potentially be like 7 30 minute games, holy shit LOL idk if it would be epic or intense or dramatic or what, the players would get tired... including breaks thats like 3 hours, possibly even more if the TvTs are super long (30+ mins)

MVP vs Nestea ought to be amazing. Definitely looking forward to that.

HuK vs Nada... Sorry but I'm betting on Nada for that one

Not gonna lie, I could probably watch seven Ganzi vs. Taeja games ... god, that series was pretty amazing. Say what you will about Ganzi, but he certainly knows how to entertain.

MVP wins
Huk loses 2:0 to 1/1/1s. Form from traveling everywhere is blamed.
Puzzle bunches up his templar and dies in a macrogame. Loses the next one to a 1/1/1.
July and Hongun exchange cheeses. Hongun surprises everyone and wins.

HongUn and Genius represent Toss in the next round... God I want HongUn to make Ro4 again so badly.

edit: Finals are going to be a TvT. They end within 50 minutes 4-1 due to blue flame :p (only at the GSL)

do this many people really pay so little attention to hongun? it's disappointing

HongUn is probably the most consistently underrated player in the world. He's amazingly consistent--even when Protoss have been doing horribly, he still manages to post wins. He's taken down some top players, and he is capable of playing very solid macro games but can also bust out some really dangerous all-ins, and he was the first Protoss to make Carriers in the GSL. Yet he gets nothing but hate. I dunno why really. You can say he cheeses, but the truth is lots of players cheese sometimes, and its not like thats all HongUn does--he's not the Protoss BitbyBit (that would be Inca) hes definitely capable of playing macro games. I guess you can say he doesn't really have a signature playstyle, he doesn't have brilliant mechanics like MC or crazy multitask like Puzzle or cool builds like Genius. He's just kind of average in terms of playstyle, but happens to be really solid.

Still, hes a lot better than most give him credit for.

NesTea vs MVP should be a Semi Finals game :\ So many good players in this season's Ro16. I feel that they need to revamp the dual tournament group play for Ro32.

MVP really has a good shot at taking down Nestea. I like them both a lot, but I really want Nestea to just be the most dominant player. I think we really need someone like that around.

HuK vs Nada is also interesting... again I like them both, but I guess I will cheer for HuK. At least I can't be too disappointed with whatever the results may be.

Interestingly enough and I just checked on sc2earnings.com, HongUn is the highest earner that has never won 1st or 2nd place at a tournament.

O.o What that means is that he's more consistent than NaDa....BLASPHEMY!!!

JK. I really like hongun simply because he can force his opponents to play more honestly via reputation, and does have the skill to back it up. My favourite game was him throwing? the game against NaDa by mothership rushing. He almost won that one too, and between that and the carrier game, he's one of my favourite protoss.

I only dislike HongUn due to his games vs rain in GSL open 3... do you not remember that crappy charge lot all-in he did? I think it was on blistering sands.
