We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum.
Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service.
Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST |

Why the fuck isn't Boxer winning this poll? This!!!!! Seriously... Yea he may not be showing the best results right now but its fucking Boxer!!!!!!! The Emperor! The creator of all that is good in this world :D He must come to MLG! You're misunderstanding. MMA is representing Boxer's mind, but in a younger body.

Well, that was awesome. Now only a couple weeks 'til dreamhack summer with loads of korean invites!!! I'm really proud of the SC2 foreigner scene. The MMA chants at the end were amazing. I think that the foreigner scene really left a good impression on the Korean players and fans. The games were amazing too. Tons of banelings rolling over everything but at the same time drops everywhere! Pretty sick. Besides waking up at 8 a.m. two days in a row, this was a truly great weekend!

Since he's not in Code S when MLG Anaheim comes along, he will more than likely come to Anaheim since:
A. He'll be seeded B. Foreigner fans now love him and want him back C. He'll be in Code A, so he can win four times the amount he could win there D. If he wins in Anaheim, he automatically gets Code S without the trouble. Good points. But if we put all that aside, I think he would come anyway. His face when the audience start chanting is really telling. He realizes that the GSL isn't the only tournament in the world. Probably he'll talk to MC and learn that there is fame and recognition to be found in EU too.
You are making a big assumption and that is that MMA somehow wont either win or make it to the up/downs which are probably before the next MLG and take away his reason to go anyway.

Our heroes completely raped Really goes to show that the skill difference between korea and world is very real and quite big. Although sjow took some games from the koreans. Pretty unexpected top 4 all Koreans :/

MMA dodged a bullet not having to face Naniwa or MC, TvP is his worst matchup

I'm still waiting for how OP got off getting temp banned lol.

If you watch MMA vs DongRaeGu in the GSTL finals, quicker mutas still end up with the same results.

It's what I thought too, but maybe some of the foreigners placed above sheth will man up and accept a spot into code A, and just try it out. I'd love to see nani (for example) just trying out code A.

Yeah. Even though people will really focus on him gg'ing out of that one game (which is admittedly funny), it doesn't change that he still played remarkably well this tournament.

The Korean players seemed really shocked at how popular SC2 is outside of Korea, since BW really never caught on outside of Korea, at least to this level.

Vs losira he was very effective with the drops, granted. He was still able to pick sheth apart in a similar fashion and well I'd say idra too(I mean MMA kinda threw the match with the OC kill, then idra gg threw it).

As much as I'd love Sheth in code A the odds of him getting an invite are pretty small. Slush, Idra (who is going to decline), Naniwa, Thorzain, Fenix, Ret, AND Haypro would all have to decline for it to even reach Sheth. And unless I missed something Sheth would then have to come out ahead of Sjow, Machine and Major to be given the spot.

I think the Anaheim invites have to be Bomber, MarineKing, Nestea and then either Nada/Boxer for the nostalgia fans.
MarineKing would be great at MLG. The guy has a great personality and shows amazing emotion during games.

I cant see Naniwa or Thorzain turning it down since they have said they wanna go. Slush might and it might work its way down from there to an FXO player who would of course accept the invite.
