No, he's not eliminated. He's currently 3rd in his group - group standings will determine your placement in the championship bracket, but no-one is eliminated in pool play.
If Slush beats Fenix, He'll stay 3rd in his group.
If Fenix beats Slush 2-0 He'll fall to 4th on tiebreak.
If Fenix beats Slush 2-1 He'll stay 3rd.

Fair enough. I was a rather vocal advocate of "give the game some time before complaining it can't be fixed" and I'm seeing a lot of tactical play that's impressed the hell out of me. Brood War players are actually beginning to play StarCraft II instead of Brood War, if you know what I mean.

I would totally watch Slush v. Fenix....but I suppose it partly depends on how the current games last.

Anything other than hatch first on XNC isn't so great in my opinion. It's pretty easy to fall behind economically going gas first and pool first => hatch gives up too much map control and defensive ability. Patience is perhaps what July needed more of there.
