Foreign scene has WAY more money, just total the prize money from all the tourneys. So I dont understand how our progamers can be worse and practice less. The incentives are so big to actually be good.

The numbers don't lie. Maybe. What may or may not happen in the future has little to no relevance to performance now.

1st of all- numbers lie all the time, I can tell you that as an economist.
2nd- it appears that you are correct. at the moment the total money given out is greater in Korea. I made a mistake of counting tourneys that havent happened yet (so by the end of the year we will be ahead)
3rd- that website only includes tourney wins, I believe if you factor in salary, stream money, sponsorships then foreigners will have more

1: If you have a problem with the numbers, you should find better numbers (better numbers doubtless exist, but I have no clue where to find them). Your argument was derived from the prize money of tournaments, this is the best indicator of prize money of tournaments that we know of.

3: No one knows just how much progamers earn through sponsorships and streams, and they aren't telling. If you can factor that stuff in, there's a lot of people on this website who'd want to know.

While he can't tell you the numbers, you definitely have to factor those in especially since most Korean sc2 players do not make salary.

Source? I know that TSL at the very least pays out an annual salary for its progamers.

TSL was the first to do so and I haven't seen any other team announce they do.

Also- 1 more thing. Think about how much money things like Dreamhack, MLG, Assembly spend when they fly out and house players. And the Stipend that some tourneys give out
So.. this Earth, nice planet you might say- WRONG!!

This isn't true. Total prize money is greater in Korea so far. Foreign scene might surpass Korea by the end of the year, but just barely.

Sir, you are wrong. Between MLG, NASL, IPL, Be-Line, IEM, ZOTAK, Black Dragon, ASUS Open, Dreamhack, Assembly, Gathering, Craft CUp, EG Masters CUp, GCTL, TSL, StarsWAR and many many more foreign scene has easily 2 times more money (IPL is going to increase the prize pool to 50k from 5k next season, so 3 times more by the end of the year)

Not sure... how much do all those tourney prize pools add up to? In Korea, GSL tour alone nets over $1.3 million in prize per year (and I'm not even counting the Bliz cup which is scheduled at the end of this year and LG Cinema Cup).

Now I want to watch Idra vs Select but can't find them, I guess they are not uploaded.

What games you recommend for watching, let's say 2 or 3 series besides Idra-MC ??

Thx in advance

Major needs to think about which group he wants to get placed in... If i were him I'd be making sure that I didn't finish in 3rd in the open bracket because I think MC and IdrA is going to prove to be a much harder route than groups A, B, or D.

My guesses would be he would want to get group A, D, B, C in that order. If he gets group A I think he has a decent shot of taking his championship bracket down with naniwa posing the biggest threat.

Sucks to say, but I think throwing a game is better than getting put in group C unless he genuinely thinks he can take the entire tournament down. Further he gets the more likely he will be seeded next MLG which if i were him would be my chief concern as the open bracket stages could be really taxing and while I think he 'could' win, I'm not entirely convinced his odds are that great with so many terran snipers left.
