He just beat the best Terran and probably the best Protoss at the tournament 4-0. He looks unbeatable right now. MMA > Select Why do people keep forgetting the guy who is in the Ro16 of the Super Tournament? That doesn't change the fact that Idra just creamed one of the top 3 terrans at MLG. Right now, based on the way he's playing, I'm going to have to say Idra is the favourite (followed by MC and Naniwa). Select isn't even a given to get out of the group, going 0-2 against the two best players in his group (and arguably at MLB), but still, it's 0-2, which is never good. Vibe beat rsvp in Open R1... terrible unlucky with the seedings, both of them could've made it very far in the open bracket... InControl vs Losira coming up! Let's see how bad Losira creams InControl... But Idra consistently beats Select. select has a lot of trouble against zerg. People are blowing idra's 2 wins out of proportion. I'm sure he'll do great, but I wouldn't count out many many other players who are still very much in this. Select is no longer bad against Zerg like he was back in MLG DC '10. He's improved his TvZ insanely (going through mostly Zergs in IPL and beating Zergs like Ret last MLG). Select only seems to have problems against Idra. As far as Select goes, 0-2 down is kinda bad for him, but don't forget no one truly gets eliminated... for all you know he could pull of another sick run through the LB again.

People keep talking about crazy cheese or something. If anything i think games where people cheese IdrA (as of late, not before then), IdrA is winning most of them. He seems to have a very safe early/mid game ready to prevent an early loss. I do think that a creative strat can take him down, but cheese does not look like a weakness as of yet. Even that perfect "cheese"/rush by MC got thwarted with out even scouting it until literally the last second. I agree for the most part, tried to emphasize the part about it being something really odd or underused or just something he doesn't encounter very often. Something to take him completely by surprise, not just a simple cannon rush or something because his play so far has been nearly perfect.

And all you can see or do is balance whine. GTFO That comment was specifically adressed to Idra who like these kind of complains as well. He got ahead by doing nothing, except using inject larvae and massing drones. He was ahead by 20 drones and 50 food even before anying happened. A useful talent toi have indeed. You are right. Defending early cheese had nothing to do with him getting ahead right? I mean, if someone opens with both mass helions and some banshees and all they manage to do is kill 6 zerglings without even forcing drones of the mineral line they should be ahead right?
