to be fair You got to think about where these guy's focus is at. GSL is a lot bigger deal for them then NASL.

Of course of course, I was just noting the differences. Drewbie for his part showed off some pretty sexy bio control too ^^

I really don't see any way Painuser beats Idra; Idra's on a roll of late, while Painuser hasn't really shown anything that makes me think he's at the tip top level right now.

Mass repair the bunker and it never goes down. This is really frustrating...

painuser's pretty damn good, man

I really don't agree with this turtle terran style anymore. It feels like Z's figured out how to deal with it and you pretty much get overrun as T.

Actually it's fine. idra could've lost pretty easily after that roach all-in failed. Painuser just played it safely and didn't hit before mutas, just in case round 2 of the all-in was coming. Or he just wanted to be passive. Then he sieged up way too late when he did attack. He could've won this game if he metagamed greg and figured out that he (idra) wouldn't want to play a long game on a map that's considered bad for zerg.

The thing is, a lot of players have multiple matches and tournaments going on at once.
The NASL has a close prize-pool to that of the GSL too, so in terms of prizes, there's no reason to make too many excuses or assumptions in regards to focus.
Every top player is involved in multiple tournaments and preparing for multiple games at this point.

Anyone else hear Geoff's nose shooting hot man air into the mic =p???
edit, actually i cant tell if its gretorp or geoff now lol

Great games but I really feel the casting is subpar. The commentators are constantly laughing at their own jokes (which aren't very fun to begin with, might be some inside stuff I dunno) and it distracts from what's actually going on in-game. Not to mention that their analysis of what's going on or regarding strategies are usually pretty far off, or overly basic.
I much prefer tastosis or the djwheat/idra combo we saw in the EG cup. But considering the good chemistry between incontrol and gretorp the quality of the casting will hopefully improve.
Just me 2 cents.

haha, incontrol, "2 hellion counter" :D

The all-in was a mistake in the first place. If there is one T build you don't want to all-in with roaches, it's fast siege tanks. He just got lucky tank positioning wasn't optimal and painuser was lacking rines.
In a way, he predicted ('metagamed' in your terms) what idra would do (roach all-in), chose the most econ build to try and defend but Idra came out on top anyhow.

Not to mention they missed the fairly obvious fact that the game is pretty much over by now. An uneconomical 2 rax that hardly does any damage, loosing a load of marines, SCV's and delaying econ further with bunkers that didn't do anything. There's no real comeback from that to be honest.
