Screw the haters Gretorp... Keep bringing enthusiasm and actual progamer knowledge to the casts. I'd rather listen to someone who isn't experienced in casting but knows the game thoroughly than someone who knows nothing about SC2. Keep up the good work.

Tyler was obviously really frustrated with his performance; I don't think he meant any particular disrespect to Socke. That being said I really didn't like Tyler's opening in game 3, I play terran so I don't know shit about PvP so feel free to set me straight but it seems like a defensive 4gate or 3gate robo would beat this. I think Tyler was hoping Socke had his forces out on the map or at least down his ramp. Protoss users comment on this build?

I think the rule is that typing anything = admitting defeat in the GSL if i'm not wrong.
IIRC, inca did not gg against fruitdealer in gsl 1 and received no penalty. He did apologize for it afterwards. He was knocked out by fruitdealer though so that might have been it. Not sure what will happen if you don't gg on first game of BOX but i think the rules doesnt say anything about it.

Agree, gg is simply a formality for sportsmanship. Not saying gg is like walking off the court/field in any sports or other competitive event without acknowledging your competition. That may be passable for the average joe like you and me, but not acceptable for a professional who is representing a team. It reflects extremely poorly on Tyler and on the Teamliquid team. Yeah you're frustrated with yourself; don't take it out on your opponent. Take the .5 seconds to type gg and leave, even if you don't mean it, or want to.

Man the SC community is so uptight. So he didn't GG after a match. There's a huge difference between that and actively saying bad-mannered things to your opponent, and I think the SC2 community forgets that.

Tyler doesn't gg on several occasions (TSL2 final in one game/ TL Open semifinal once on the top of my head), cannot say I'm surprised. Though I don't think it's disrespect towards his opponents, I believe it's just frustration with himself.
I also think gg is like the handshake after a tennis match, you should just always do it.

Typing anything else than gg is an auto loss for the specific match in the gsl unless I'm mixing it up with some other tournament. Not sure what the rules are for a series though. I can't imagine you lose the whole boX though just because you typed something. (maybe repeat offenders?)
