I would love to see inc cast with someone that is more ´active´ and ´lively´ (I dont have better words for this, but I think you get what I mean.. even an excited Gretorp is not that exciting). I think he is a fine caster, but I dont like him as pairing for inc and I dont really like him for a huge starleague.

But, I need to watch this day still, so maybe it ´improves´. Anyways, happy to see you a had a great day with seemingly great games.

yea I agree, I do not think that incontrol or gretorp are bad casters. I just don't think their "types" of casting workes great togather, so it's not even a question about chemestry. I think every casting pair needs to fill different roles, the best ones fill atleast two roles each.

I don't know how you guys can with a straight face, compare gretorp and I to tasteless/artosis.

They've been doing it since the beta for the biggest league on the planet in terms of SC2 and before that it isn't like they were bagging groceries.

We've been doing this for 6 casting days... Can we please have our own identity? OR if you insist on comparing us to the premier casting duo at least recognize you are going "Well, they aren't as good as the absolute best!"

Its really incredible how much of a difference it makes to have these awesome casters.

If i compare my viewing experience of the gsl today of a match between two players i really didnt care about (i think it was genius vs alecia) to yesterdays morrow vs tlo ( a match i was very interested in) i have to say i enjoyed the gsl so much more.
Now i know it might be unfair to compare gretorp and incontrol to tastosis but it was just so striking to me how these guys can make everything so entertaining and enjoyable to watch while the nasl somehow manages to suck the fun even out of a game like morrow vs tlo

wow

Thanks for posting that dude! Really appreciate it..

Seriously i don't know what he's talking about. Last nights casting was by FAR the best you two have done this season. The banter and "Come at me brah" jokes really lightened the mood quite a bit

keep doing what you're doing and the NASL will be a major success

They don't know what they are talking about. It's not even a good thing to compare GSL to NASL in any way. Don't listen to them.

Amen. You guys are doing a fantastic job. Given that you've been at this, what, a week? And that Korea has been at professional gaming broadcasting for, what, 10+ years? Not to mention how long Tastosis have been together.

Seriously, the fools who make these constant comparisons are really doing everybody a disservice. It's sad that there voices are so much louder, but I suspect for every whining hater there are 10 fans happy to watch so many great players playing so many great games.

Ok, i am really sorry incontrol.

now i really feel like an asshole...
i deleted my post but that clearly doesnt help.

I wonder why you even read this stuff, i really dont think you should as most of it isnt constructive at all.

And i wanna add that im a big fan of you and i love you on state of the game!

I think you guys can definitely improve your casting but its not as bad as my foolish post suggested.

I think i was just frustrated because of the sound and framerate issues and posted this.

Please dont take it to heart youre doing a good job and im sure with time this thing really will become awesome.

Damn im such a douchebag...

Again I am really sorry

But you know, Doa and Moletrap do feel appropriate together, and they really have not casted as a duo. I enjoy them very much, even on the first day. I think you are an excellent caster, but I just feel that gretorp is a tad too serious and ´plain´ to cast with you. In a way he nerfs you by inhibiting your best quality: providing entertainment and making us smile. Not saying this is his fault, its just not a great mixture. I would love to see you cast with Chill for example, his laugh alone would make it feel much more suitable :D.

But, lets see how it develops I guess. I predict it not changing though, just from what Ive seen from you before. I hope it does, because I want this to work, and I cant imagine anyone wanting it more than those involved.

I feel the same way. Can't get into the games. Some matches seem awesome on paper but it just doesn't feel epic when i watch it.
Could be the casters, could be that the season is still long and the games don't seem to be important yet, could be the drawn out pregameshow. Also it doesn't really give that live feeling that GSL does. Hearing casters commentate livegames just feels more exciting.

I'm not entirely sure tho. Something definitely seems to be missing. (Yeah i know, pretty useless criticism, but that's how I feel when watching NASL...)

Haters going to hate.. Whether I think artosis and tasteless are better at casting is non relevant
You can't give a fuck what people think, keep doing what you're doing.. You're obviously trying hard to do a good job and you are for the lack of experience.

I would love to see the casting combo of khaldor and incontrol in the future. khaldor does play by play really great and incontrol does insight and brings his heart into the game aswell.

I think the sound quality was not so hot at the very beginning but by the end of the match it definitely had improved. IMO gretorp and geoff are building awesome chemistry, I love the nasl personally

That's ridiculous. Gretorp is the perfect balance to InControl, plus they already are good friends who pick up on what the other is doing/where they're going.

Great job guys. I love the games themselves, my only complaint is the faded color on the video and the rapidly improving audio. I liked how you balanced the in game sounds/music with your voices, I think you're pretty close to ideal now.

It is because these are group stages, of course it isn't as exciting when someone is going to move up in the tournament or get knocked out but there will be more storylines a couple weeks in.

+ Show Spoiler +

For example if Artosis loses next week he will have a really hard time coming back to secure a spot in season 2 therefore the game will mean a lot more and each game the week after will mean more.

People are expecting the thrill of elimination games in the first two weeks it seems, they aren't the same but there are still quality games that are exciting to watch. As weeks go on there will be more storylines.

I agree that the casters are partially responsible for the difference in "epicness" between GSL and NASL, but you do also have to consider that GSL is a live, offline event where you see the players walking up to the stage and a big crowd cheering, while NASL is an online and technically not live event except for the final 16 players.

I think seeing the players in a studio plays a huge role. TSL probably does the hype-raising absolutely perfectly and it's still not up to par with a league like GSL.

I think the casting is amazing. You guys do a great job for sure, and Inc is very funny.

I haven't missed a day of NASL and I'm starting to watch GSL less. There's just not enough time in the day for both and I enjoy the NASL just as much. Keep up the good work.

Gotta agree with the man right here. Tastosis have doing it (lol sounds so wrong) since the beta, Gretorp and iNcontrol haven't. Besides, it's a different duo, so the chemistry will be different as well.

That being said, you can make a lot of jokes about the relative size of iNcontrol vs Gretorp (no offense)

You realize it wasn't like this the first couple days? But then guess what happened... Hateful, nasty comments from anonymous, faceless posters filled the forums. If I saw that kind of stuff about myself, I would be disheartened. I too, would err on the side of "serious and plain" if it at least stopped the flood of vitriol. I too, would hesitate to show my personality and excitement when I knew it would be attacked by people who lack accountability (thanks, interwebs). They really just can't win with all the people so filled with a sense of entitlement and so lacking in patience and understanding.
