Hmm, I think there are actually 5 rounds.

Bomber's route was:
Round 1: W/O
Round 2: Random opponent
Round 3: MakaPrime
Round 4: TeriousfOu
Round 5: Bracket finals

If this is correct then that means that it's a 32 round bracket. Assuming only the winner of the bracket moves on to Code A, then there are 16 brackets being played since there are 16 spots available. I could be totally off though so someone please correct me if I am!

In the original post on Gom's website (linked below) they said that these qualifiers were open to 160-172 of the highest ranked Korean players. In addition to these players, any foreigners who want to sign up can also play. So there are probably about 180 players total, to be cut down to a total of 16.

http://www.gomtv.net/2011gslsponsors2/news/62334

So basically, the format will be 180 --> 128 --> 64 --> 32 --> 16. You have to win four matches to qualify, but a large number of players will get a bye in round 1 like Bomber did.

So the winner of all 16 "mini-brackets" will advance. If this is being run like it was in the past, then they usually have 4 different start times (11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm or something). 16/4 = 4, so I assume that four players from each session will be advancing.
Don't hate the player, hate the game

Even though only one change from the previous list, just thought I update this in case people are too lazy to scroll through the threads. According to Doa, the finals (round 5) for each brackets are starting, so hope to see a couple of qualifiers soon. In the mean time these are a collection of information we have.

Note that it seems there won't be any foreign seeds this time around

Notable players still playing:
(T)Bomber - Finals of bracket (1 more win)
(T)Maru - Not sure which round he's in

Notable eliminated players:
(Z)mOOnGLaDe - lost in Round 1 to MvP_Violet (not the BW player - the War3 progamer)
(T)Maka - Eliminated by Bomber (round 3)
(Z)Terious - Eliminated by Bomber (round 4)
(Z)Cella - Eliminated by Maru (round unknown)
cArn - Eliminated by a Zerg player in Round 3

Players confirmed NOT in the qualifiers
(P)Artosis - In Taiwan covering the TeSL for the weekend
All the other Foreigners in Team World.

Other foreigners confirmed participating in the event which will qualify in a later session:
Ryan Pochirowski (Faiin) - USA
Christopher Most (Semipsyc) - USA
Emil Kalaydzhiev (고르자찌 - gorchiza on TL forums) - Bulgaria
Yoo Wonjong (RebornSAGA) - Canada
Teo Ming Rui (Change) - Singapore
Trevor Housten (ST/VT Torch) - USA
Hayder Hussein (LiquidHayprO) - Sweden

Anyone else who's not here either hasn't played or we haven't heard anything about.

So have they said anything about Team World getting into code A? I'd love to see Sen/Whitera in personally. Or Torch? He came so close last time and I feel like he should be in too.

This question has been asked about a thousand times in this thread. No one (except for Moonglade) from the GSL WC is trying to qualify in Code A. DoA says this is 99.99% confirmed. Torch is trying to qualify but hasn't played yet.

Ah. Also a question that has been answered and is in the OP :-P. It seems like there are no foreign seeds this time, everyone must qualify.

EDIT: And @ Carn damn. Anyone know if the Zerg was anyone special?

Seems like they've gotten rid of that system. No word on that though.
