A more defensive banshee can be pretty good, gives you a lot of map control before mutas and gives you some harrassing options.

Grack has to improve his ZvZ sometime, given all the strong Zergs in this tournament.

It seems like ZvT has actually become of the easier match-ups for Zerg, this time around.

banelings are one of the most entertaining additions to SC2. caught myself clapping after machine blew up that line of scvs on blistering sands. they add so much tension to the game.

Funniest. Thing. Ever.

I don't want to say TvZ is imbalanced, but it is now very constrained on both sides and all games turn into the same match. I haven't seen any diversity in the match. People claim this is because people are boring, but I am pretty sure that most of the "diverse" openings are just weaker than standard play on both sides.

I don't really think it's that constrained.

I'm not seeing enough blue flame hellion harass or early (4-5) marine harass or even Viking overlord sniping going on from terrans. Ever Terran just wants to get banshees and then go straight for bio ball.

And because terrans do the same opening, Zerg does the same counter (Muta/Ling/Bling)

Terran innovation would open up the matchup.

You can harass him all day long but eventually you will have to face his army. What do you face it with? You need marines to counter mutas and bling rape them really hard. Thors don't work that well against mutas with magic box. How hard is the micro really? A-move lings, hit the s key for mutas and right click the bling to chase marines. People being smartass saying well don't go bio are idiots. Don't have marines then mutas will kill you. Why is it so hard to see?

Go complain to Blizzard about banelings, then, and watch as they laugh at you.

Yea I am laughing at you now.

Hope you enjoy it as the banelings roll over you, too.

Banshees are so bad against Zerg because they can scout it pretty easily compared to toss, unless you proxy but that's a huge risk.

I really think it comes down to people learning the proper timings to contain zerg's expanding with relatively small forces applying pressure. Just trading armies is going to be bad news, Zerg has lots of expendable units by design whereas you don't.

It's the most interesting matchup in SC2 right now for sure.

Dunno, containing slings with few units isn't the easiest, even hellions aren't really that great against them. I'm not really sure what direction the terrans should be looking at. Passive and zerg outmacros you, agressive and you have to micro your rines so well(to the point I think only pros can really do it effectively)... Been considering FEs lately, forcing the zerg to take a 3rd which is more easily punishable than his nat... But yeah... It'll be interesting to see how the MU develops no doubt.

Trick is, attacking into banelings is suicide. You've got to get them to charge into you. It's a battle of wits between both players, I love it.

Blue flame hellions delay your starport tech too long to really be a solid opening.

You can't "harass" zerg unless they're in some super fragile state. Killing drones in anything but the early game seems like a waste of time. Sniping queens, sniping spires, denying expansions, killing ovies should give better results. Z past the early game can replenish 20ish drones in one production cycle. Hit them where it hurts, which is production capacity.

Nah. Remember NexGenius came back from the LB to 4-0 Loner at Blizzcon, who knocked him down there in the first place.

The people in LB still have a definite chance.

just came back home. nazgul 2-1 idra? how did that happen?

Nazgul went for a 4-gate blink stalkers build all three games, but Idra only managed to stop it in game 2.

Idra's attempt to go for a big bust-in on game 3 (on Kulas Ravine) seemed like a bit of a blunder, and I feel like he had time to go for Hydras again like in Game 2.

I wonder if idra will start focusing on other match-ups now that he seems to have 'solved' ZvT.

Because they are using old maps. Blistering sands is actually just as bad or maybe even worse than Kulas though
