Also, do not know who to cheer for this match -_- Exactly what I was saying, and I'm one of the biggest EG fanboys around admittedly. Naz did the right thing to win the game, he's a truly crafty vet. And I'm rooting for Ret, what sick play he had against lz earlier.

I commend TL on their practicing, but it just goes to show you that IdrA really is that big of a thread. As a former top-level gamer and athlete, my experience shows that no one really enjoys poor sportsmanship. Competition is difficult enough without needless unpleasantries. Eventually, people get fed up and group together to deal with that behaviour. Like a bully, you eventually got to deal with him before it gets worse.

Nazgul basically said "I'm not a better player, so I'm going to choose something BLIZZARD REMOVED FROM THE LADDER" to give me a big advantage." Of course... Idra made some huge mistakes as well.... but I don't see how he could have defeated that many stalkers that could just blink up and down the map. I think JP said somewhere recently that MLG doesn't change their rules/maps/etc mid-season, with the exception of using the latest patch. Almost guaranteed next season's map pool will reflect the ladder map pool at that time.

You can really focus on the micro and then every good wc3 player can pull that micro off.

If they have a build that will beat Idra, it's their duty to use it to win. And it's Idra's duty to counter those builds. This isn't professional wrestling. This is an actual competition. No one is obligated to live up to some random Idra fanboy's expectations of the "proper macro game" they find enjoyable. So F**ing well said. Also, one might think its easy to practise and complete, and that might be right. But I bet these guys practise multiple strats for different maps/races/situations so remembering them all is not an easy deal at all, not to mention executing them.

Didn't IdrA also lose to oGs in the same way because Zenio and his whole clan prepared a whole bunch of strategis for him. Anyway, IdrA was also in EG house for a while so He should have been able to play with EG Protosses and train on ALL MLG maps against ALL potential timing attack. If he didn't, then it's his fault.

All the vulnerable blink stalkers are going to be in the back of the group, so it seems that a good speedling flank could give blink stalkers a lot of trouble. Idra flanked perfectly and crushed Nazgul in game 2. If he had been able to manage it a second time, I think he could have held off the blink stalkers. Of course, I'm just a scrub, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

It was a rather flimsy win, but a win none the less, so props to Naz for pulling it off. Despite a little dirty loss like that though I'm sure most everyone will still agree that Idra is twice the player as Naz. this
