Idra's A+ I think.

I remember I used to check the top foreigner ranks and shit all the time and there were never any foreigners above A-

Epic, but full of bullshit. Well at least the part about Idra being the second most accomplished.

Has he not even heard of Elky? Psst... Kazius, Elky came a little after Grrr... and made top 4 in an OSL. Idra hasn't done that.

But yes...A+ is impressive. I can agree with you on that much.

Yosh 57-0 is amazing, especially since he really plays on and off.

It has to be Ukraine flags in the top. Winning a game with a computer made of wood and a computer screen made of stone is allways impressive!

This. Many progamers attest to iCCup's low level, mentioning how even Haran got olympian status. IdrA is the best foreigner around and plays with CJ Entus all day. I should hope he can get A+

ev10-morrow (or whatev) is a manner player. very good star player

However Idra's A+ is ridiculous.
Yosh's 57-0 is also equally impressive

I see no reason to believe that any of the other players who did "impressive" things are capable of getting onto the first page of iccup's ladder. Conversely, I'm sure idra could play a million games, or even (possible after a clearstats or two) go 57-0 if he was reasonably on his game at the time and was lucky enough to avoid any crazy smurfs. You can say it's not necessarily likely. My only point is that it's reasonably possible, while I definitely don't see any of the other players on that list making A+ playing so many Koreans, no matter how much luck was on their side.

In summary: the skill level required to make A+ against koreans even *possible* (never mind how likely) is considerably higher than the level required to go 57-0. Hence the former is, to me at least, one of the more impressive achievements I've seen out of a foreigner recently, and certainly the coolest on this list.

idra's A+ is by far the most impressive achievement thus far. yosh 57-0 only looks good until you see the quality of opponents compared to idra's during that streak.

I'm an ElkY fan (and watched all his VODs, and follow his poker antics - for those who don't know, he is considered the hottest poker player nowadays), and his accomplishments are definitely impressive, but no medal and you have to admit progaming skill has increased a LOT since, hence I put Idra's record above it. It was a hard choice, and I know dissing Idra is always ranks high on the TL pass-time Power Rank, but give credit where it's due.

Idra deserves massive respect for his rank, as well as taking down Korean players and not sticking to beating the crap out of the foreigners (which he could easily, easily do) - he is definitely the most skilled foreigner ever, the most accomplished since Grrr, and his 1000 point difference from #2 is a testament to just how much better he is than the rest of the field. Sure, some people might take him out in a single game or even a series, but the ladder is simple enough to read. There is no competition.

Mamon's 700 games is sickening. It's incomprehensible. It's Cartman-in-the-WoW-episode level of insanity. It's dedication, fierce grinding, and batshit crazy. It's Jaedong preparing for MSL, OSL, and Proleague at once. It's David Beckham able to overcome his limitations by outpracticing any football player in the world. It's Kevin Garnett chasing that first ring. It's one of those qualities that is as impressive and important as talent, if not more so. The proper response to this can be phrased in three words: shock and awe.

But if Mamon's record is about shock and awe, Yosh's streak is shock and awesome. I can't find words to describe how this sets my brain reeling. This is beyond illogical. Picking 57 random BAD players, one of them is supposed to cheese and win. If all of those players had a 1.3% chance of winning (an approximate difference of 660 on Elo rank, a difference greater than the best SC pro of all times in his top form vs the worst rated pro in his worst form), odds would be against that streak. This is beyond insane. A sane person should have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that this actually happened. This is a sick, sick world in which things like this can happen.

I was going with Mamon, but you made me change my mind. Yosh's record is insane.
But I have to agree with TheFoReveRwaR that Idra being the most accomplished foreigner ever is ridiculous. You just cannot put him above Elky, and maybe not even above Nazgul and Mondragon

I feel the same way about Idra getting A+. Why is that such a suprise? He lives in korea, playing on a professional korean team, practicing endlessly with korean semi pros and pros, and plays in almost every big SC tourny out there. I would expect nothing less than A+ from him.

IdrA's A+ by far

And considering who he played / how he did it, it is a real accomplishment. He didn't dodge ANYONE or MU / Opponent Select at all!

IdrA is a very very strong player atm
