epic writeup of a legendary finals. I agree, this belongs in the class of the finest match reporting.

SC is amazing how it keeps changing, showing us new. Some amazing all time moments even after so many years. july's transcendent unit control, the huge corsair vs muta/scourge clash, the templar storms, the ultralisk stampede. They could make a movie out of this set

Great writeup for a great final.

I disagree on the BackHo = OneHitWonder and Best = Best Protoss. I don't think there is much between the two at the moment. Best got really lucky in the semi-final against Luxury, while BackHo just reached another semi-final in the GSL.

I don't get the BackHo hate. He's performing very well, and seems to have a high level of comfort when the pressure is on. He just walked over stork in the GSL to make another semi-final...

nice battle reports plexa, my only gripe is the use of the word "miracle" in the opening. July took this with merciless, cold hard skill. No divine powers here friend..

im on a trip for college credit atm so couldnt watch this live but anyone whos seen me post at all knows im the biggest july fan your ever going to find and i actually drowned in a sea of my own juices watching this series, great write up plexa this has been my dream since the july v rock game got me into SC, and to do it in game 3 with macro sauron style to boot i feel soooo satisfied its rediculous omg

I don't agree with a few things on here. I don't think for a second that Best has the best pvz as of now, that is clearly Kal's territory. Nor do I think Best lost because he wasn't prepared for Julys ferociousness. I mean, thats what July is known for. Obviously he took this into account. If he didn't, hes a fool. If he did, and ended up losing, its because he wasn't good enough. Thats like saying xx lost to OOV because they weren't prepared for his macro, xx lost to flash because they weren't prepared for his fully upgraded push, and so on.

Best could not cope with Julys early game push, because Best just aint that good in pvz. We saw it against Luxury as well. Best has great macro, and great pvp and pvt, but like Stork, falls short in pvz. I think by next season he will turn it around- he looks better than stork ever has, to be honest- but considering how strong his other match ups are....his pvz is just kind of 'meh'.

Otherwise a very well written article, I enjoyed it. Man did July look good! :o

the PvZ is completely different thing from the PvT and PvP ... its more likely for a protoss to have strong vT and vP but to sucks in the MU vs zerg. Thats why Bisu is the greatest out there and will be the greatest that will ever be, simply because he can beat any opponent in every MU... I hate to say it but a day will come when the ppl will talk about BeSt "Remember the best-guy ?- yeah, sure he had kickass PvT and PvP but sucked in the PvZ just like...how was his name? Jangbi? No, dude, stork".... I hope, I really hope Best proves that I'm wrong

I like it alot plexa ! thank you..

I am having a hard time with the screen and the pictures being too big.. how can you modify that? so everything fits in normal screen? I dunno if u understand what im saying -_-
