Shinhan Proleague Weekly Recap June 9th-13th 2007

Both players opted for a 1 Gateway -> Fast Expansion build. Anytime managed to cannon-contain Bisu into his base, but many foolish attacks by him and nice shuttle drops by Bisu at Anytime's expansions managed to get Bisu the win.

Sea tried to do some cute barracks play, it disrupted fOrGG's economy a bit. Eventually the game turned into a long macro game with Sea eventually coming out on top.

Lings + Wraiths beat Dragoons + Lings

Jaedong managed to push a nice lurk/ling combo right into Ruby's base redhanded.

The game started off as a vulture game, but then evolved into a tank/goliath push style game. fOrGG eventually was contained as his outside-base expansions were destroyed by Sea, and had no choice but to type GG.

Kal neglected his expansions which were constantly harassed by vultures.

Hwasin opens up with a fake FD, while Much opens up with a DT rush. Hwasin's natural CC was destroyed later on, and it went all downhill from there as Much prepared carriers to overrun Hwasin.

Nice 2v2 Teamwork by STX

The Maestro played his normal style, owned a group of 24 or so marines with 3 stop lurkers. StC could not do anything after that. Welcome to the big leagues my friend.

Both players played extremely terribly. Clon could not macro, and Flash could not micro. Sheer attack + click by Flash wins him the game.

Boxer, predicting rA would go FE (as he did), goes for a ballsy 2 barracks Marine/Medic/SCV rush (much reminiscent of Firebathero vs Hero on Hitchhiker). The rush succeeds as rA's goons just simply melt to the gunfire.

Rage goes for a 2gate proxy, HOT 9 pool as they eliminate Chojja out of the game. Goodfriend sits there and does nothing, as he turtles, and loses horribly

Mass vulture war at the start, until Hery initiated the goliath/tank combo and overran Sunny's base

A great back and forth TvT. At one point, Flash had the games in his hands, but Boxer managed to take down Flash's hidden expansions and production, thus sealing the game

Nada won with dropships and map control

Free goes FE, while Control goes for a proxy factory. He destroyed the nexus of Free, but his macro was too chum for Free, as Free eventually out-macroed Control and win the game

The airforce of Corsairs/Muta's of Hanbit was just too much for the goons and mutalisks of Pantech

Stay went 12hatch 11pool, GGPlay 9 pool, GGPlay could not inflict any damage early on, and eventually lost due to sheer unit count because of the one less hatchery

Nada went 1rax FE, GGPlay 12hatch 11pool. Using nice dropship play, Nada overcame his opponent to win the match for his team

Up couldn't manage the constant harassments of his expo's of Shine while moving his units around.

Both players went pool -> hatch -> lair, but Magma went for nat while Yarnc inbase. Yarnc applied pressure onto Magma, then eventually ran him over with mass lings.

Bifrost got 5 pooled, Soha contained Type inside his base with gate block. Nothing they could have done about it

Tester went 2 gate proxy, Luxury managed to sneak lings into Tester's base. Looked like it was going to turn into an elimination match but Nice building placement, patience and smart play by Luxury won the game for him.

Shudder got absolutely humiliated as Stork played around with him like he was in pre-school

Mujuk proxies gateways, zealots continually harass Jangbi, losing all his probes, Jangbi types GG

Another 2v2 humiliation of SKT. TT even used scouts to worsen the pain

This is what I call super-macro from FBH. Canata just sat there, turtling up. FBH went one step further and rolled over Canata with 20 factories worth of tanks

Hwasin goes 1rax FE, Hyun punishes Hwasin by going quick speedlings. No prize for who guesses who wins here

Pusan goes for a 2gate range build, Sheis 1fac FE. Pusan tries some nice goon play at the start, but a few pushes by Sheis after he macro's tanks and vults finished off Pusan in the end

Mass corsair + Muta + Hydralisk fight from all players. Hydralisks of Calm stopped MBC from mining, so it won them the game when they couldn't produce anything

Kal goes for a proxy at Sea's expansion with DT's + reaver, then expanding. Sea, although with a retaliant defense, eventually gets smashed by storms, zealots and dragoons.

Jaedong goes 3 hatch lings, Much goes FE. Much does some stupid things then gets killed by many, many zerglings

Both players opting for Dropship play, then later on Wraith play. Iris in the end, comes on top

CJ 2v2 team playing terrible, as they get humiliated by Lecaf

Yellow going old school 2 hatch style, with a hidden expo at the bottom. Nada going macro style. Yellow abuses Nada's macro style of play with guardians, and then it went all downhill for Nada there as lurker/ling/defiler run into his base

Mass Vulture -> Dropships Tank/Goliath. Pepe gets anxious, then Hery drops 6 dropships into Pepe's main base

Reach is contained by Cannons. He tries to break out of it, but doesn't work

rA tries a DT drop, failed, as Pure uses reaver to seriously damage rA's probes and units

Chojja quickly goes his trademark Ultra/Ling, as Nada turtles in his base. Using dropships, Nada tries to attack Chojja's various expansions, but scourge literally wipe out the dropships, dead. In the end, Chojja just stuffs around with infested terrans as Nada tries to comeback into the game. No work.

Boxer dominated from start to finish

Junghoon rushes into Rage's base with Lings and Drone Drill, Rage couldn't come back after that

Both players go expansion -> gas. GGPlay tries to be cute and go 3 hatch, but fails and is killed

Massive battles kept occuring in the middle of the map, but constant storm harassments and loss of units of Boxer slowly lost his way of the game. He tried to salvage back the game with Lockdown, but Free's macro just simply overpowered him
