Crossfire 6-5 tvz (small game size yes but pretty balanced) Taldarim Altar 57-44 tvz (56.4% favoring terran). The only time this map is favored for zerg is cross which is only a 1 in 3 chance. Belshir beach winter 9-5 tvz (favoring terran). Seems very zerg favored (sarcasm for those who think I am serious). Dual sight 1.1 (13-9 favoring terran again). I also thought this map was generally considered a terran favored map but a zerg favored map in zvp. Daybreak (33 - 41 55.4% favoring zerg) Antiga (14-8 favoring terran) Shakuras (10-10 favoring terran and zerg evenly!) So those first 4 maps are supposed to be heavily favored for DRG but they are all favoring terran (even with small sample sizes they are not that bad for terran at all). 1 map out of the entire 7 favors zerg a decent amount that being Daybreak. Sorry just bugs me when people say these maps are zerg favored, especially "so zerg favored" when statistically not even close lol. I took them all from TLPD korean section as that is a more accurate look due to the fact koreans have way better terrans. Nice preview can't wait for the finals and hope DRG takes it since MVP is out  | ||

I know there are time constraints, but there are a lot of mistakes in this writeup. In DRG vs terran, there is muta-ling-ling, is that meant to be Muta-ling-bling? Or is this a joke im not getting? 4th paragraph of the Stephano award, first sentence needs a 'not' There is a second game 1 in the MMA vs MVP review (going back through there aren't that many mistakes, great job. But I was frustrated reading it initially. So either someone went and edited it or my brain filtered out the mistakes on the second read. Or maybe I am just easily frustrated) | ||

The players themselves seem to agree that the map balance favours DRG for the first three/four and then the rest favour MMA. Seems like a bit more goes into map balance than just TLPD stats, especially considering respective playstyles and the fact that there are more Terrans that are better at TvZ than Zergs at ZvT at the moment. We're also considering just the two best TvZ/ZvT players and not the Zerg/Terran race in its entirety, so in that case, it might be better to trust the professionals over the stats. Even while the maps favour Terran you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who would say MMA has a 4-0 easily in the bag. Of course, you could have meant that being DRG-favoured isn't the same thing as being Zerg-favoured and maybe this is more of a semantics/terminology argument than anything else, and I'd agree with you. | ||
