The MVP vs. Min game earning 1 star is honestly laughable. It looks like you got angry that MVP lost a game to a "cheesy" rush and then just blew Min off as a bad player. Min was in a position to win the 3rd game, he just pushed too far with his broodlords.

The vanvan games were quite funny though, I'll give you that.

Would have been a decent report if there hadn't been such obvious zerg bias and whining. As a terran player we hear it enough, do we really have to hear it again when reading a GSL writeup? Thought I was reading an idrA writeup when reading the MVP vs Violet game 2 report. These days I almost feel guilty if I win a TvZ, when it's seemingly a pretty balanced matchup.

Agreed.

The zerg bias in that game was ridiculous.

"then again, 'defend until you have an imbalanced amount of tanks' seems to work whether you're winning or losing"

That kind of rubbish needs be kept far away from official TeamLiquid write-ups.

So right now, Mvp is the best player in the world, with Bomber looking strong as a future contender for that title. =)

Did Nestea and MC suddenly vanished into thin air or what ?

This article has little to no relevant content. Rather than give an interested, perhaps slightly biased analysis or recap of these games, the authors of this article proceeded to write with the grammar, diction, and opinionated bias of 13 year old fanboys. I mean seriously, the section on Keen vs Varnath? Come on, that's inexcusable.

EDIT: On a side note, this season's Code A was pretty incredible. Watching the cast of Slayers perform and the finale with Bomber and MVP made Code A almost as worthwhile as Code S (the Bo7 Bomber/MVP was certainly Code S Finals quality even).

No, I just think Mvp is better than them.

I too am confused as to why TL has writers like Divinek etc, providing extremely poor write ups to games which were much more entertaining than stated in sed writeup (I know because I did write-ups for CSN about the exact same matches).

Sad face The majority of write-ups were good, just some lacked any care what-so-ever. I don't get this article at all, was it implemented to SHOW TL's requirement for writers? So confused.

Might wanna think about editing the second game of the finals as there was no mysterious bomber juts producing more. Mvp was supply blocked 2x early that game for quite a while.

And wow to say mvp didn't really do anything wrong in his playergrade is just so

Did you actually watch the games. he spent around a full minute in supply block in game 2 and had terrible positioning with an incoming rush in game 3 and just never recovered and played in top shape after that.

And to give that game 2 a 4 star is just lol unless you really just wanted to see mvp lose. It was never a good or close game at any point.
Ignore my opinions I am bad

You did fine. Thanks for the write-up. Even though you aren't familiar with the players, there isn't enough time in the day to keep up with bw 100% and sc2 100%.

"We agree, GSL could afford to give more than the prize of $1,400 and an up-down pick to the winner of Code-A"

The above was just taken from the extract on the main site. There's a very valid reason why you can't give code A players a comparable prize to code S, and that's because mid-tier code S players would deliberately get knocked down to code A, to have a stronger chance of taking home some prize money. By having such a small prize fund in code A compared to code S, it still rewards the player for winning the league, but I mean... how many code A's would you have to win to get the same prize as winning just a single code S? It's very good motivation for players to push for code S, other than the prestige.

Very nice writeup. IMO MVP played the finals series against Bomber way too passively. He opted for several very "standard" builds instead of trying to take little risks to turn into advantages. In his previous Code S and WC finals, MVP played a lot more aggressively with his build orders to get an economic lead. For instance, I would have loved to see MVP turtle and push out really fast upgrades instead of just playing "standard."

I guess Polt is better than MC? No

Just because he beat him does not make him better, until Bomber gets two GSL championships.. we'll see.

Results don't automatically make you the better player.

In a way it does actually. It makes you a better "tournament" player who can perform when they need to instead of just absolutely raping the ladder. People can dominate ladder but just cannot seem to do well when under the pressure of being in the booth and on tv.

I responded to the only point that made sense.

I assumed he was responding to my assertion that Mvp is the best player in the world, because saying "Did NesTea and MC suddenly vanish...?" actually makes sense then.

The only other point I made is that Bomber might be a future contender for best player in the world. What do NesTea and MC have to do with that?

Yeah, they're current contenders for best player in the world. Why do I have to mention them when I'm talking about Bomber in the future?

Have I completely missed the point? Because I'm just not getting this. =/

Shit, I pride myself on rarely missing things like this, and it is going to bother me for a while. Please don't take that as sarcasm, because it really isn't. Gah it really bothers me

But on a side note I didn't mean to imply that it was magical, rather I thought that the addon timings were the reason for the extra round of units, not a supply block. Thank you for pointing it out
