GB, I understand the frustration but what's hard in this game is precisely finding out why somebody is scum, then pushing him for the right reasons, then convincing enough people with it.
And as the game progresses the pieces start falling together and it becomes easier since you have to look at less when townies start dying.
D1s are always messy, you can push Koshi tomorrow as well, no reason to lose your head.
