TSM is a bad team and they'd have finished 3rd/4th regargless of the group. Dyrus' butthurt comment about the groups' difficulty was just a passive aggressive "we'll go out because we got in the stronger team" crap OMG and SKT are the best teams in groups, there is little to debate there. TSM looks stronger than every team in group B except possibly Fnatic, but its impossible to tell how well Fnatic is playing, since the other teams in their group are tilting so hard now.

Even in gold in this game doesn't really count because of TF passive, in this game if they are even in gold it means that Vulcun is behind... Even so, back when they were leading in gold significantly they imo could have won fights if they didn't completely misplay them.

Most of TSM's income was SKT being reckless, and pretty unlucky at one point with that Karthus ult. Top lane was still beaten, Reginald did not exist in that game, even when they were equal on gold, TOO had 0 presence, 0 impact, 0 threat. Only TSM's bot lane was truly close to SKT. TSM was bleeding from every other positions, and it was just a matter of time it got back at them. In other news: best Zyra ult.

Especially the second one, the Jax and Riven were basically free farming destroying their lanes, TSM's bot lane was never going to carry that against them.
