would you rather we get nothing because wcg is impossible to contact at all?

in all fairness: WCG is fucking up pretty badly most of the time. like: there is no information about Norwegian quals anywhere, and the Swedish ones sitll says : TBD even though they were decided at Dreamhack Summer in June. not to mention they somehow managed to fuck up at WCG Germany quals, using the same servers as the IEM Colonge at the same time in the same building, playing 2 games on the live servers during the 12 hours most of the game should have been played. and then there was the recent WCG Australia quals which didnt turn out to well either (I'll see if I can find the thread about on the LoL GD forums)

While I don't agree with Riot's (Marcou's) decision here, try to keep your outbursts from becoming too inflammatory.
Thanks.

really, its laughable that riot should be even dwelling into competitions, its the admin and organizers tournament to run, not riots.

I actually don't understand people pointing that WCG Canada final was only one game to explain that Dignitas already lost. CLG was in Winner bracket and the other team went from loser bracket. CLG won the final Bo3 so there is no need to play again. The other team has been eleminated twice, first time they got in loser's bracket and second time was second time, last chance.

Can we cry about the server dying instead? I want play.

Apparently Dignitas talks to them every day.
edit: CLGCanada didn't win a bo3 in the finals. They won a single game and advanced.

In this case, I'd say yes. Instead of someone completely incompetent in authority, we have one team's words against another. Dignitas could've bitched and whined and not get any real traction. Now thanks to RiotMarcou not able to stand up for anything, the whole mess is taken as Riot endorsed, with the blame and bad PR going to the company.
To echo Smash's sentiment from a long time ago, what does this guy do but fuck things up?
Frankly, after pretty much letting the players themselves handle the running of the qualifiers, with no official spectators and no third party to look over the whole affair. It is a joke for them to just waltz in now and impose rules.

Um, the second time by this ruling should have been a full match then, not one game.

But CLG had the one-game advantage, and only played one game (as far as I know). If it was a two Bo3 thing, CLG would have had to play two games to win the Bo3.

dignitas somehow got into contact with WCG admins when nobody else could, yeah its fucking bullshit, and makes no sense on WCG's part
please tell me how many people would take something like Sc2 serious if blizzard had a say in tournament rules and rulings, because they would laugh at it just like they laugh at competitive league
edit: you guys are missing the point, yes Marcou might be retarded etc etc etc. but riot shouldnt have ANY say in tournament rulings, riot's esports team's job should be organizing sponsors and talking to organizaitons like iem mlg wcg etc for these events, not refereeing them,

According to Dan Dinh on SotL, last year's WCG national qualifiers in LA were weighted bo3. So it's interesting that someone is trying to change the rules from last year.

I keep trying to get into a spectator game on EU but that doesn't seem to be up yet either.

All of the finals this year have been weighted bo3 too. I don't know why the US finals is something special that has to be changed.

Jesus I am agreeing with Brees the penultimate troll.
I also have no clue why Marcou decided to step into this dispute. It is between WCG and their teams. Riot has other courses of action to take if they truly disapprove of how a tourney is being run.

Spectator mode up in EU! In an ARAM game right now....just about to start.....
