I have no doubt whatsoever in my mind that given the voting possibility, we'd see four more years of George W. And honest to god - i wouldn't mind that terribly. I mind the party more than him these days really, why can't there be a conservative party which strives to uphold the constitution and actually press for individual and market freedom, rather than restrain said liberty through moronic "Acts of Patriotism" and whatever. They're not protecting anyone, for heavens sake! The former director of the FBI did not use a computer and asked to have all statements printed and put on his desk. He also took every chance to revoke computerusage throughout the agency. How's that for an explanation on why they stand helpless to internet crime? And don't get me started on the CIA. These are new times we live in, nobody expected 9/11 to actually happen regardless of how many love to claim they "knew all along this was coming" nowadays. It was a horrible wakeupcall but also one that has made federal authorities as well as flight traffic control and other public sectors have revized their response to crisis (9/11 could not happen in the same way today). Cracking down on freedom and disowning the internet does not help in any way. What did the invasion of Afghanistan do to local heroin cultivation? It made it blossom. What will the invasion of the internet and peoples personal lives do? Stretch this far enough and we'll be wearing Guy Fawkes masks and blow up the Parliment soon. Give us a TRUE believer in freedom, a visionary. Until that, i'm fine with Bush as i trust what i've seen of him on a personal level. For each new "republican" president the hawks sieze more power, which is why i dread electionday this time around. | ||
