To get ur pokeflute:
You have to first go to Celadon City and beat Giovanni to get the Silph Scope. You then go to Lavender Town and beat Marowak and the Rocket people to rescue Fuji. He gives you the Pokeflute that awakens Snorlax and allows you to go to Fuscha City.

Tho theres only 2 snorlax in the game so dun forget to catch one xD

Well if he IS using an emulator, then it's rather easy to cheat all those other pokemon into spawning

Enough of this, he is basically just playing Pokemon Red with some additions, until he beats the Elite Four (and Flash hopefully). No need to discuss whether he can or can't get pokemon #256621.
