Hey KMD, so I recently came across this song; I'm OK by Crucial Star:
Any recommendations for artists with a similar sound or who work in this genre? I find it hard to look this sort of stuff up since I don't even know what to search for. Closest thing I've found so far is Sung Hoon/Brown Eyed Soul, who I also enjoy listening to.
If it helps, I loved DBSK's Before U Go, GD and Top's Baby Goodnight and I'm liking K.Will's Please Don't to name a few bigger songs, so I guess my tastes lean more towards the RnB side of things too, but I struggle to find any good RnB coming out from the more mainstream groups.
Btw how do you embed videos in posts? Spent awhile trying and couldn't find the feature.
Edit: Just got a PM, I suppose I should mention that I'm not exactly new to k pop, so while mainstream suggestions are welcome, I most likely already know about them. Songs from mainstream groups that were never big/singles though may still surprise me
My main problem was just finding that good RnB in the k-indie scene, which seems to dabble in that genre more. Firehand if you see this, I'll be replying to your PM shortly

Primary's LP is pretty good and somewhat in this style, the arrangements though they are a bit wacky, he has some flair. Straight RnB Brown Eyed Girls older stuff, Hwayobi, Fly to the Sky, Noel's second album. Brown Eyed Soul's stuff of course and for a more soft side Urban Zakapa, Tete.
Thanks a lot Murdco, Primary is pretty much exactly what I was looking for, liking him from the first song I just listened to:
Gonna have to check out those other featured artists too.
I will have to look through BEG's older stuff since my only experience with them so far is Abracadabra. I just had a quick listen to some of Hwayobi, Fly to the Sky and Noel's stuff, and it's nice too, but... It's hard to describe, but I guess I am more into the RnB with "some flair" as you so nicely put it. I've bumped into Urban Zakapa a few times before, but only as a guest artist on other songs, so I kind of forgot about them. From what I just listened to, I'm liking them too. I'll need to look more into Tete to find something that I like though, found it a bit hard to findd Tete's songs until I worked out what it was in Korean haha.
Old BEG is kinda like Hwayobi but heavier and more soulful, sound is a bit dated still fun to hear once in a while though. On the side of primary stuff you should probably look into Cho PD, he is a producer like primary but he takes part on his songs most of the time. A sample track
Not everything is like this though some is just more on the rap side but he has some nice tracks, not as good as primary though.
Some other songs and artists that are similar, kinda

That shit annoys me so much. Imagine how they feel, that must really piss them off. People writing or doing interviews like this should really do a couple hours of research or something.
I thought I bookmarked the stream for the music shows, but I can't seem to find it. Could someone please link me a decent stream again so I can watch inkigayo tonight?
