It's totally and completely unthinkable for Oda to intentionally mislead us into thinking someone was dead. That would never happen right? Right? I mean making it look like something happened only to be explained away and taken back in the next chapter/episode never.. EVER happens in manga/anime....Absolute crazy talk, of course Dofla was killed by a character just introduced in this arc(Admittedly a total bad ass one!) before any of the SH's or Law beat him up! Sarcasm aside I'd love it if Dofla was actually dead, as I've said before in this thread it would really hammer home the whole new world being crazy you can't drop your guard for a second thing. That beind said... IMO it's a flat out terrible theory, no way Oda kills him off so quickly by someone we've had limited chance to build a bond with when Law has been eager to take him out by his own hand. Dofla has been hyped as a crazy awesome bad guy since well before the time skip even. Luffy hasn't gotten a serious fight in quite some time etc. Too many good reasons for Dofla to not die that easily/quickly for me to believe he is actually dead. It would go against basically every guideline/rule of Manga writing. | ||
