I kinda get the feeling that sting and rogue would eventually get invited to fairy tail just because they have cats. Also since FTs been collecting Dragon slayers. Howerver, they're fake/artificial slayers according to the shadowy figure, but then again laxus is also non legit..

Hey guys, I stopped reading this manga after the Code S examinations on that island where the giant dragon turned up and the chief of Fairy Tale turned into a giant. Can someone give me a brief summary of what has happened since then so I can start reading again? I can't really be bothered finding which chapter it was that I left off and catch up.

The world changed while they were away, mostly Fairy Tail has become a weak guild without them. They met Gerard and he and Erza kissed. After training on the beach (fan service) the guild entered a big magic competition to show the country that FT is back, did fairly well throughout, got a few rivals who they beat up (also swimsuit-competition fan service). Recently they learned that the competition was a front to gather magic for a special time-travel magic that uses Celestial mages to activate, which is why Lucy was imprisoned. To save her, HT split, one group try to save her while the rest try to win in the finals. The finals are going well, while the rescue party got captured. Meanwhile they learned about the origin of Acnalogia (Human Dragonslayer who turned into dragon after killing too many dragons and bathing in their blood) and we saw a mysterious girl who appear to have come through the time-travel magic from an alternative timeline where everyone die, dun dun dun. (Also more pool fanservice)

+ Show Spoiler +We were soooo close to the 2nd/3rd (good) character death during the entire manga. Apparently giving up your life to save someone else by walking into lava isn´t lethal enough. I´m a little disappointed about that.
Apart from that, decent chapter. I hope the individual battles are cool, and longer than one page each.

Yeah, bit of a lacklustre chapter tbh.
+ Show Spoiler +Standard "Look how badass these new enemies are" but every single one of them I can already see the counter to. Especially Wendy's enemy. Really. Gas based poison vs cleric with air/wind power? =S
Natsu's was nothing impressive, Lucy + Yukino should be too powerful a combo because 12keys. Mira just a boss that never gets enough boss scenes because Mashima cheapened out on her backstory. Lily the only fight I'm a bit "oh cool" regarding because we don't see much of him fighting these days.

wendys enemy uses plants not gas the gas is coming from the plants
