Actually HSDK didn't really get worse, it was always like that. The author has improved, however.
That said, I very much prefer HSDK over FT

Nope, they're just old men with political power. They do control armies however, which might make them seem strong.
On another note, Fairy Tail, I find, was better than Naruto/Bleach and probably even One Piece this week. That revelation at the e.n.d. was awesome, and seeing the power of one member really making me look forward to what might happen next.

Also I think the senate guys weren't the strongest at all + the surprise factor of the attack was going for Fox guy (what did he say? ) Probably the 10 wizard saints were stronger than them (maybe sheer force, or magic affinity, or specializing in a sort of magic etc.)
Anyway nice setup for the future! BTW was it minevra in the last shot with the succubus horns n shit? so... the harpy woman implanted into minevra a daemon from the book of zeref?

#Escalation. I enjoy how they managed to find even more powerful baddies while still tying them into the overarching Zeref plot. Fun stuff coming.

Actually one of the best chapters of Fairy Tail in a long while. I don't agree with it being better than any chapter of One Piece in existence, though.

Oh no a new guild appeared! This guild is a lot stronger than all of the other guilds Fairy Tail has fought before! Hopefully the fights will not play out as: "Oh no I'm losing, time for me to get serious!" until Fairy Tail inevitably wins!

Not really a new guild, just one that has been there the whole time making its move. Which is inevitable since they were revealed as part of the big 3 dark guilds way back.

Didn't Cobra say that they are controlled be E.N.D or something? I can totally see E.N.D being something thats released once all of them have been defeated similar to brain. Fits in with the manga imo. Given there are 9 of them though who else is gonna fight them other than the usual or is there gonna be another alliance?

I think 9 demons are being controlled by one big demon named E.N.D. Igneel tried to take out that big demon and failed to do so.
Pretty good chapter, looking forward to reading more. I don't really mind the "boobs first, plot later" approach the writer clearly has.

Somebody on the Facebook comments of that chapter suggested that E.N.D might be Emperor Natsu Dragneel. He might just be using his human form and not know it. Pure speculation of course.

Yea a lot of people have thrown out EX Natsu Dragneel. I think it just coincidence that the last two letters of END are his initials and more focus on the Word being END as in end of all things.
