I'd even say MVP was doing fine in terms of sheer teamplay versus LGD, but fighting against a Gyro, Invoker and Tide with melee cores is never a fun situation. That and DuBu not being very confident on a Doom 4 when he's typically the aggressive 5. Yep. Need to doom both tide and invoker to win any fights cleanly. Or if naix is fat enough, rage OW kill tide and doom invoker. But smart force staff by xiao8 though.

What might change is whether China's move for new players is actually a success; it could be that they fail, and then when their old players go, the entire region goes. I think a mix of old and new is the best. Classic EG/sadboys was a mix of old veterans and new talent. The new Navi has a mix of newer talents, and old school Veterans. Same with Liquid. Just have to find the right mix of players.

But LGD as a whole really showed up and MVP seemed overconfident in a lot of fights and when they slowed it down a bit LGD was already way ahead. MVP as a team live and die by their execution. I personally don't think they can do it... now that China started practicing. The peak and caliber of players on LGD are so much higher and xiao8 is not going to let MVP script.

I don't know if anyone else agrees but I am very interested in Fnatic more so than Liquid in Group C, I think this should be their major to shine because they've been looking really solid coming up to the major and I think they'll overcome their LAN jitters. I think Fnatic might upset Liquid in the group. MVP Phoenix has been on a terrible slump. Online obviously means less to them playing on high ping and I hope i'm wrong but they look like a team that's on the very edge of running out of steam in general. EG should have a relatively easy time in D.
