That's not entirely fair, Secret outplayed them pretty hard in the first couple minutes--the level 1 gank, Bat breaking Bane's clarity which allowed him to dive and kill Spectre early, Tide was shut out of his lane. Granted, you can argue that the latter two were Wings' fault (Bane used his mana to steal the rune, Tide went somewhat greedy items assuming a weaker lane with Wisp mid)

Sven at least can hit people afterwards. DP is the front line of the team with exorcism. And Wings don't really want to unload everything on her because there's still that threat of Sven with ult and blink that can wreck havoc. Sven without Bkb or wisp can be easily kited, shackled, slept .etc so his 2nd life is not that valuable, at least during this phase of the game. Ultra late might be different though with more damage items.
Also Sven has IO to save him the vast majority of the time if he needs it. If DP gets caught and wastes the aegis he can suicide. They're both bad aegis carriers but DP is the better one.

The lower bracket round 1 is BO1. Being game 3 of this series, this series is effectively a BO1. So they are essentially 2 BO1's from elimination.
