I am genuinely getting scared EG peaking to soon, this can't be real at how well they are playing right now. They are dumpstering LGD...if they keep this up vs Liquid then i wil be getting stupidly hyped but also even more scared they have peaked to soon...

I hope that Liquid and Fnatic games are draws. So they have something to focus to get better.
But also if last TI its a good example, teams that starts strong tend to get higher places, LFY was undefeated, Newbee got to finals and Liquid managed to climb to the finals.
I liked today their VP playstyle impression in their first game vs OG and Lgd, they need to intimidate others teams.
They even have used a cheese strat yet.

They look like they're so hungry for wins that they play every match with maximum effort, and I love it. Also I'm sure Bulba and Fly have some strats in reserve

Its nice to see EG playing top dota again. However, the problem i see is that their playstyle is similar every game.Hero variety is not that amazing, they will get figured out.Not to mention the top teams are not giving their 100% in the group stages - clowny plays weird drafts, etc.. All they want is to get an upper bracket match.and avoid the Bo1s.
However it seems that the GREEN TIs are the best. So far this tournament had a lot of amazing games, and it hasnt even really started. Last TI that was that good was TI3 - also green theme.

Would definately agree on the stiff drafts. Sure, different heroes have been picked like the safelane TA, but the formula has been the same in every game so far. Intersting to see them face Liquid today and how Liquid are prepared to deal with the formula vs how willing EG is to change it.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. They won 2 games that they had no business winning. Good news is they already secured themselves the place they got last year (as long as they don't lose out).

Actually LGD game planned vs EG with the support bans. It did not work out

While the draft is very important, EG is not being just carried by some next level OP draft strat, they are all playing really well individually, and as a team when it comes to decision making, positioning, itemisation etc.

Yeah the "EG Team Fight" i feel is back which was what made PPD's itteration the best in the business due to being able to change the game very quickly with a couple of great team fights or high ground defenses. We have seen this with S4 and Sumail really on point together as well as Cr1t back to just looking broken on his position 4 characters.

Can't wait for the Liquid game, but first up, the Russians!!

I know i'll sound like one of those conspiracy theorists but, wouldn`t be better for eg to loose the games against liquid so they get some attention the other way?

It would probably be better to put your strats to test though

Damn, liquid seem tough af, glad eg got to meet them in time to improve for main stage

Yeah was a good learning game for them, i hope somehow Liquid dont show up tomorrow and draw 1-1 so EG can top the group but still even second is great.

Hopefully they learnt alot in those games to beat Liquid in the bracket :D
