i mean last year i think why some western teams did well is because they have the wisp + creative play advantage .. this year it feels like the chinese are even better at drafts.
i feel like if you are not alliance(they always play very solid when prepared)/navi(they wreck shit in high profile matches) you are gonna have a hard time vs chinese .. Alliance and Na'Vi aren't even at the top of the Western scene.... Idk .. It has always been a mistake to doubt na'vi. It's just too many times they have shown sloppy play then suddenly win everything. And alliance has shown to be really shit on some weeks and other weeks they can suddenly take out games or series in a really dominating fashion. aside from them .. c9 can beat everyone at times and most of the time they choke. Empire is really good except grand finals for some reason. Fnatic is too weird. I guess that leaves us EG but they still need a carry.
Or you could take things at face value instead of the random assumptions...
And we can say that a current non-top tier Alliance can still stomp some of the non-top tier Chinese teams.

i know that, even pre break his performance wasnt superb. Taking a break shouldn't affect decision making much. at the current state of eg they wont make top 5.

Teams have time to improve and we had this exact same discussion last year. Navi looked lack luster, china was waiting to show is what was up and we all wondered how team liquid was going to fair.
And I agree with people that NaVi most recent showing haven't been great, but it's never safe to bet against them. They are the same team as last year and they threw down for IT3.

I think we all know how liquid is going to do

Hey, I never thought the Redsox would win a World Series in my life time. They have won several at this point. Have a little faith.

Liquid is not currently at the level of the Red Sox. They're going to have to improve majorly during their bootcamp to have a hope of even being the wildcard.

liquid in terms of talent is probably fine. Aside from wts theyre more or less even or better in terms of individual skill on every position. The main issues of the team is still coming up with a solid game plan and believing in themselves and each other.

Okay, there's no LC thread and I don't feel like making a whole new thread just to talk about one potential build.
After the patch, couldn't she be a pretty solid solo offlaner a la ET? Overwhelming Odds can be used to lasthit, and you can use Soul Ring to sustain. Press the Attack can keep you in lane, and the purge protects you from slows, while Overwhelming Odds' speed boost can get you out of a lot of ganks. She can also defend pushes really easily, and if the enemy groups up at all in their trilane, can punish that with massive damage. Finally, the 3 position seems to suit her best, as she's primarily a pickoff hero that also benefits from getting some farm on the side.
Is this already current meta and I'm just behind on things?

He makes a lot of really strange choices that end up with him dying. It's like I'm watching myself play, sometimes.

There's no "meta" really established cuz LC isn't in CM but I think that 3 is a great position for her. That hero is pretty strong imo. Could also run her mid for fast blink pickoffs a-la bat mid. Safe-lane carry is a bit questionable since she doesn't really need babysit most of the time. She also makes a fine 4-position but you kinda sacrifice the utility of duel there since you can't really yolo-duel people as a 4-position.
Also there's no way you need soul ring on that hero.

I think Merlini could totally transition into a full pro if he wanted to. I mean Purge made it happen. :D Just kidding, I think Merlini would be good enough to be on a legit team that competes in the west.

he isnt at the moment, but yes i think he could transition but i dont think he will
