people are going to go absolutely ham with this base customization feature on the workshop,from just like tower modification to packs of completely new bases.

The next thing probably is going to be creep customization.
lane creeps 100%,jungle creeps not so sure about that but why not,it's not like people can't disable it,like announcers right now.HATS FOR ROSHAN BOYS
and you know people are gonna go ham on the mega creeps at the workshop.Probably sell them separate or in a bundle like the mega kill/standard announcers.

Well no, as long as the customisation "fits" the lore and doesn't look out of place. I mean, cowboy Ursa, I can see the problems with that. Personally I liked it.

naa the reason why ursa set got removed is because it was on some LoL shit.
I mean you can make custom creeps and roshan skins that fit perfectly well within the stylistic ramifications of dota.
You can't give roshan a top hat and a monocle but I see no reason why you couldn't change his wings slightly,feet,hands,w/e.

I don't see a reason why roshan needs to be a oversized demon chicken in the first place,I mean as long as the size and function is the same and it fits valves idea of whats cool for dota design wise,you can make anything out of him.
Not like people are going to confuse roshan with a harpy camp lol

you know someone out there is already sitting on a cthulhu-esq or chimera roshan skin just waiting on valve to enable that shit

How would it work though? The skins are only local to your client? Or maybe the blue and pink players respectively choose the creep and building skins

Would endorse and elder god as rosh. Really this stuff is the best of all worlds, because they are features of the game both teams can enjoy.

I assume these base custom skins are going to function similarly to the announcers,you will get the option to choose what you want from a list of whatever someone on your team has equipped.
I doubt they are going to go with the strict local approach because the former is a great way to let people advertise items for you.
