Hi all! Found a ring earlier on, not the best but do you think its worth a shot?

I know this is worth some big bucks, just curious to see what people think.

RMAH

my RMAH strategy will probably be set bid to some very low value, put up the auction where it will end at lets say 8 PM PST, 11 PM EST, and set buyout to max then let people bid it up to whatever they think it is worth

my plan with RMAH also isn't to make money from it but to get a more stable usable currency from D3 items than gold

if you do end up putting it on RMAH though, I'd wait to see how smooth the RMAH is because I would not want to put up a RMAH auction only to have it massively screw up like GAH when D3 was released and find out someone got my item at a low bid because no one else could bid on the item while the RMAH was screwed up

You know I never thought of that. If gold is going to become devalued into nothingness that everybody says it will due to gold farmers/duping/end of the world or whatever then that might actually be a pretty smart way to go about liquidating your good items into a currency that you know will hold its value. Do you know if you have to eventually cash out the money you make on RMAH or can you avoid the double taxation on it and use the money to buy other items on RMAH?

Oh and to add my 2 cents on that weapon I had a very similar weapon with around the same life on hit, however it had maybe 60 less dps, 50 less vit and no socket but had 120 str on it (and it was a sword and may have had IAS I forget). I sold it nearly instantly for 20m, so you can likely get more than that I'm guessing.

Why would blizzard force you to cash out? It is profit as long as it is still in your account. Plus with paypal taking the second cut they have more to gain by you using it so they get additional transaction fees.

If it was a sword and had IAS there's really no comparison to be made. Significantly faster weapons make life on hit a lot better.

Well I mean I know you could sell stuff on RMAH to buy stuff from blizzard so you don't get taxed again by cashing out with paypal, but I don't know if you could use it to buy items from RMAH itself, which is why I asked.

And yes I understand it is preferable to have LoH on swords which are faster but I still think the comparison is valid since 1) it has a socket which can further boost that weapon's LoH and 2) you can get IAS from other slots to make up for slower weapons.

Hi Guys,

Longtime lurker, brought back to TL by LoL and D3. How much can I get for this amulet? The closest thing I could find on the AH was around 1.2M, but I'm not sure its worth that much. Americas server. Thanks!

How would anybody buy things off the auction house if you can't buy items with the currency exactly?

With the way attack speed stacks, it makes a very big difference. All your gear attack speed is multiplied off the increased attack speed of the weapon instead of the base weapon speed. You're going to get much more bang for your buck with life on hit if you're using a base 1.6 or so weapon instead of a 1.2

Yeah I have no idea how RMAH works, which is why I asked.

Swords are 1.4, and I would've traded that sword I sold for 20m for that hammer in a heartbeat. That was my point.

I just acquired this, and there currently arent any rings with dual stats this high on AH.

Any estimates from people familiar with higher end shit?

Also you should guess how much I paid for it.

The helm is decent for a monk, but a little low on dex/vit. The axe is too low of a DPS to be useful.

Price check on this please?

I saw it on the AH for 1.5m buyout and got it immediately. It seemed like a good deal. Was I wrong?

Maybe around 2m, not much higher imo. At that price range you're competing with Ouroboros, which is clear and away a better neck.

bought it for 1.5mil and there isn't a big enough sample size to compare to. I imagine it would be pretty good on demon hunters. Help appreciated (americas)

Thanks. I was hoping it'd be more, but I went ahead and put it back on the AH for 2m. It sold within 30 minutes. Maybe that indicates that I could have sold it for more, but I still made 200k (after tax) for almost no work so I'm still happy.

A similar one (15 less dex, 5% more crit damage) has no buyout but a bid of 7.7m (that someone bid on) with 16h left, so a decent guesstimate is around 10m.

Hard one. My guesstimate is around 7m, but that's alot of guesswork because I've never seen one with that high dual rolls.

low block chance, value, armor... the 11% life, str and default -4% is nice... don't expect too much out of it. Game is down atm I am guessing no more than 1mil.
