I'm sure you guys have seen this question a million times on different forums but unfortunately I can never seem to find a poll with a large (few hundred) number of responses. Naturally I figured TL would be a great place to pose this question.

I chose the DH because my two favorite classes to play in D2 were the Amazon and the Assassin (DH resembles a mix of these). Plus, being a former Warrior Gladiator in WoW I can honestly say I never want to play a melee class in PvP again...

I'm gonna play HC so I know I should take a barbarian as first character for survivability, but I won't resist and pick Demon Hunter. Always loved chars with that sort of gameplay

I'm torn between the Witch Doctor and the Monk. Both incredibly fun for me to play.
Melee caster or summoner? Decisions, decisions...

I think the Monk will be the best class for Inferno, this is only based off of the skill tree though. I have no idea how his DPS will compare to others late game

Wizard, Barbarian, or Witch Doctor. Or Demon Hunter. I voted for Witch Doctor because it was on the bottom before my vote. My decision will actually be based on what my friends play. I plan to have 1 character I play with my buddy and 1 character I play on my own/with random people.

I'm playing the Barbarian first, for a couple of reasons. First of all, I loved the Diablo 2 story line, and Barbarians play a large role in the game a la the World Stone and Mount Arreat. The second biggest reason is that the Diablo 3 Barbarian is just plain fun to play. I'm in the beta, and time and time again I go back to smash face on the Barbarian. He may not be the flashiest, but smashing things is what I'm coming for when I play Diablo, so the Barbarian it is.
After I play the Barbarian, I plan on either doing the Demon Hunter or Wizard. I've played all of the classes in the beta so far. As a result of my play time, I just didn't like how the Witch Doctor felt in the early stages of the game, and the Monk felt like a less mean version of the Barbarian in terms of play style. I played a Warrior and Rogue in the original Diablo, so the Demon Hunter feels fine to me. The Wizard feels almost exactly like the Sorceress from Diablo 2, which I was also very fond of. Particularly fire Sorceresses. :D

Wizard most likely, I played'em at blizzcon 2010 and it was fun as hell

Havnt played, doubt i will before release.
But for me it will be Witch doctor first and Barbarian second.

I'm probably going to go for the Witch doctor first, since it's the class that is closest to the necromancer

I have 4 other friends and we all made sure we chose different starting classes in order to have the most fun!

Summoner WD, because the Necromancer was such a boss in d2.
Love playing pet classes, but there are so few of them in games.

I would like to play Wizard, but it will be most popular class, meaning highest prices for Wiz gear and additionaly somebody else has him reserved in my group already. I guess I will decide on launch day, just pick what I feel like playing :D
