Much has been underrated by most of the TL.net community since the beginning. I always enjoyed his technical style, which is really clean and smart, not falling into crazyness like kangmin, but fairly efficient. PvT he is the hottest toss right now, and still he has been one of the best PvT always. You add a very decent PvP to that, and let him gain some consistency at PvZ and he will be at least a top3 toss.

And let's remember his eliminations in both MSL and OSL.

A JD with a ridiculous ZvP record, iirc he is 8-2 in his last 10 games, and if we go deeper, he is 16-4 in his last 20 pvz. There is no shame on losing to him. Heck, even BeSt got eliminated by JD recently.

Losing to BeSt, with closer games than a lot of people would like to admit, when BeSt was in the very peak of his great streak. Even the great BeSt has been stoped recently by JD, who was the one who eliminated Much. That, and that BeSt is in a ridiculous streak PvP.

Basically he lost both series to the best PvP at the moment and the best ZvP(with the permission of July) for a long time. So, he couldn't beat the very best at their respective matchups. Big deal.

The important thing is not that he fell in the Ro4 of both starleagues. The important thing is that Much hasn't stop improving, even after those series which usually would take a toll on everyones morale. After losing to JD and BeSt, he has topped both forGG and Flash and it's not like he is a one day fluke. The guy has been around for a long time, and has always shown potential to be very good. He was just too inconsistent. Maybe now he will finally get the stability and consistency he needs. He just needs to get better at PvZ and he will become an incredible all around protoss asset for CJ.

I really hope Much makes it to WCG, not that it actually matters. But when I first started watching, Much and Nal_rA were my guys, Bisu was bigger at the time but I had an unnatural affinity for Much. Maybe it's because my grandpa recently died and I was longing to fill the void caused by loss.

I don't think it's justified to call Much's PvZ untested; if anything, it's his most consistent matchup. Jaedong crushed Much not least because he knew what to expect from Old Toss: straight-up ground-based play without any significant sair harassment. Much's PvZ has always been excellent against less creative Zerg players (that's to say Zergs not named Jaedong), who get ripped up by his tremendous macro and pinpoint storms.

i'm pretty sure TL has been praising much at least as much as someone who has not won a major title should be praised. much has also been regarded as CJ's most solid ace for a while already

Much is one of those players you really, really want to take his game to the next level by adding a layer of multitasking brilliance (mostly pvz) on top of his mechanics. I hope he manages to pull it off, because the way CJ is relying on him atm he's a bit like Free for hanbit, but much, much more consistent and reliable.

forGG has his main, natural and his third.

forGG pushes to the mid to split the map in 2, but Stork just pushes forward, kills some vultures/tanks while only losing zealots. He pulls back as soon as his zealots are dead.

He anegages again as soon as forGG tried to push closer, he pushes in again, this time commiting, storm goes off, kills the push. Stork is ahead.

Stork pushes forGG way back, not even close to splitting the map. forGG's push was almost destroyed but 4 tanks arrived to reinforce all the vultures he had without tanks.
