I bloody KNEW Much had it in him. He's played some very inspired PvT lately. The first game on Blue Storm could easily had been his if it wasn't for the sweet spot messing eeeeverything up. that map has been so figured out by terrans by now it's not even funny to PvT on it anymore.

Much? I remember not too long ago in his most recent game with Free that they had identical stats in win percentages, about 53% in all matchups. That liquibet was a real head-scratcher.

Now all of a sudden he's more than decent at PvT, taking out Flash and forGG, and not doing too bad in PvP? Whatever is in that drink he keeps sipping on at games, I think Savior needs some of that.

Edit: I think beating Flash might have made him reach a new personal ELO peak.

Miles huh? The series between BeSt and Much in OSL was a fucking great display from Much. He was so close to bringing BeSt down right there.
Check out their game on Hwarangdo and tell me Much is "miles" from BeSt in PvP.

No just that the other pros should be more aware of the storm drops . If best didn't storm droped their probes both Much or JangBi would have steamrolled him no problem ... When you keep your minerals below 1000 and your probes get killed you just can't keep up in macro not just vs Best ...

I stick to it : MILES away from BeSt. Though he may not actually be this far from Stork, whose level has dropped significantly since his prime.
I know numbers don't tell the whole story, but the gap between the two is still blatant. Much may play brilliant PvP at times (I have seen the games you mentionned), but BeSt's PvP is ALWAYS stellar. He can capitalize on the tiniest mistakes. He knows how and when to counter a build. Any build. On any map. The only equivalent in BW is Jaedong's ZvZ.
Much is good, there is no doubt about it. Just not that good.

Then read again more carefully. I said : Much's PvZ has been untested recently. His last 4 PvZ were losses to Jaedong what tells us nothing except that Much is not a PvZ god. Apart from this, in the last 6 months, Much has played an outstanding amount of 3 PvZ. 1 loss to 815 on Blue Storm (hardly a surprise) and is 1-1 against Hyun.

you DO know quoting TLPD is pretty much useless especially since in THIS instance they both have the SAME amount of wins. All you can say is that Best has a higher win % and that Much has played significantly more games.

Hell, last year Best wasn't even thought of in the PvP rankings when everyone argued it was Stork>>>Much/Bisu>>>everyone else.

Sure we all know Best is a PvP god right now, but like everything in Starcraft it will only last so long. The only TRULY same match beasts ever in SC history have been Oov/Nada/Xellos/Iris/Jaedong.

If Best is still raping next year and wins a tournament it would be a little more convincing.

Yeah, an 83% win in 30 games and a 13 winning streak (and counting) is probably a statistical illusion.
Of course no one was talking about BeSt last year because he played 18 PvP in 2008. As of 08/01/01, he was 9-3 with a winnig streak of 3 what was indeed irrelevant.
