If anything "who is who" around wcg time is most interesting. Anyways as greg said the issue is more that the dude evidently did it to get under his skin, not that it was done in general. For that I can understand. I too have my share of trolls following me around here, not fun imo. | ||

I simply said these who is who threads are gay around WCG time, or any tournament time for that matter. The problem with it is this: You're hammering out a build you intend to use during WCG. You're playing on the WCG maps vs a certain race etc... Friends of the people you play, or they themselves will see what you're planning and prepare against it. This ladder is stacked full of friends of people who are entering WCG and the WCG competitors themselves. For a hypothetical: Say I started going nuts on iccup and played vs all zergs because I have all zergs in my group. Do you really think I want Mondi or Reason seeing the off-gate strat I have prepared etc? What right does someone who isn't even part of the tournament have to go off telling your competitors what race / build you'll be using etc? It happens all the time. More-so in previous years. But it still happens to this day i'd imagine for an event like this. I don't mind it the rest of the year, only when an offline competition is going on when people are actually preparing for it. This is IdrA's first WCG. And he'd obviously like to qualify. Saying his aka only adds one more frustration to the player and it makes their time feel wasted. It especially becomes more true if you enter a lan as a heavy favourite etc. I haven't started prepping yet, but if I do, I don't want people blabbing around who is who and what race i'll be using or getting curious and asking questions. It's especially dangerous for me due to my multi-racing. And it's pretty annoying to be quite honest. The rest of the year, I don't care. | ||
