3 fac vults handles early gol drop very well, and lets you be aggressive (because of vulture speed).

Also the whole time you're massing vultures, you don't use any gas

I don't understand how going vults vs a fast goli droper, you can stop the quick 4 goliath drop in your main, like behind minerals, with vultures only. as soon as there are a couple of golis on the ramp, and 2 more building, you can drop, and then vultures do nothing, from my experience. The trick is often to catch the terran leaving his base with the golis, but if you don't...

quick 8 goli drop can also work quite well against the vultures. However, if it is somehow fought off very well, the vulturer surely has an advantage.

Don't vulturers who fast exp get cliffed badass?

i made the mistake of assuming you peopel would use common sense when reading my post. p2h has no cliff that can hit the natural expo. gamea has groudn accessible cliffs. mines on LT, or any map with a cliff over looking your natural for that matter, suck in any spots except 12 3.

Well ologic a tank opener wouldn't let you kill mines as effectively as a goliath opener, so you'd either have to go turrets or gollies, which would delay that fast expansion considerably, and in the meantime your opponent can tech to whatever he thinks will hurt you, or expand if you turtle, since he's got free scouting with his barracks, while you are guessing if you did wallin, so...
That it's one of the more flexible builds is my point, so it's not at all bad or easily defeatable.

Tag, if you go 1 fact tank > expo, you have tons of extra cash/next to no gas. The turrets do not delay you, and are pretty much a necessity (in case of mines - gol drop - 2 port wraith). I also never said a vulture rush was all bad. As I said, in the hands of a smart player, it can be quite dangerous. The thing is, most players aren't smart. The reason the vulture rush is popular in WGT and such now is because silly newbies see Koreans doing it and copy them, without the whole skill and intelligence thing (which is pretty important).

And no, it is still possible to stop a vulture rush without a wall-in, against most players (good micro can compensate for mines). Versus a good player, I would wall. Circumstantially, I could use my ebay, rather than rax, and still have the scouting ability. All these things are variables, and nothing is really set in stone. Every game is different.

obsolete if you make a wallin but liftoff your rax very many players will land their rax in your spot, which gives them a door to your base

imagine you having a brain

(explanation!: when someone goes expo, he can't expand with that nice command center, because he has vults camping outside of his base. The expander only has 1 fact tank, so he won't be able to kill the mines outside of his base, he can't land his cc, because mines are under it, now are you still thinking this is a good strat vs vultures?)

WHY DON'T WE JUST ALL GO FAST CLOAK WRAITHS!?!??! EH EH? 1-2 vults and a tank can hold off an insane amount of vults with good micro (considering you don't let them up the ramp). And wraiths are very good for harass. I have always gone wraith vs a fast vult and I've had a very good win ratio, like 9/10 I win because they take longer to build a bunch of turrets and get scan to expo than I take to kill their mines and build my sexpo
Cant play with fire and expect to not get burnt
