Well there's about 10 guys who show up in different constellations but since the TLS finals was on a Swedish national holiday (easter eve is kinda a family thing) we weren't gonna meet up but three guys showed up most of the time before we got this new place our old place was overfull. now i reckon we have at least place for 30 people so possibly we can go all in on marketing our events

Good luck. I am pretty sure that a lot of Swedish folk who currently play SC2 would possibly show up, but as you said it has to be marketed a little bit better.

Got a question from Tadah if I were interested in participating if they should arrange a BW and beer event in Gothenburg. I am definitely up for it atleast Does anyone know anything about this? Was the responses among the people asked about interest promising? Got a whole bunch of people (25?) for the TSL2 finals in Gbg who gathered at Chalmers; and i believe that PM´ing the bunch of people that posted in that thread could be a good idea when looking for interested people.

I am definitely interested! I sent a text message to the members of SBWI in the Gothenburg region, the interest doesn't seem to be that high. I suspect that the first event is always much harder to get off the ground though.

Edit: Hehe just got your text message, SSL Finals sounds awesome! And we get some time to get people onboard and to organize.

So next week on Sunday we will have the big meeting at 14 CET in Stockholm where we decide what do with our money and some other planning etc. If you are a donor you may PM me if you have something you wish to be discussed on the meeting. Other than that all members independent on where you live have a couple of basic questions to vote on:

1. What type of tours would you like us to host?
a) One big and a series of smaller ones. (if you have preferences on what types of tours please specify)
b) Many small ones and no big tour. (if you have preferences on what types of tours please specify)
c) One extra big and no other tours. (if you have preferences on what types of tours please specify)

2. Would you like to be in charge of something in the SBWI's organization? You can volunteer for multiple options although only some may be combined for legal reasons. In case you are elected as two we will ask you which one you want.
a) I would like to volunteer as a web designer
b) I would like to volunteer as a the one in charge of the SBWI economy (requires voting since there can only be one)
c) I would like to volunteer as the chairman of SBWI (requires voting since there can only be one)
d) I would like to volunteer as the one in charge of Marketing and PR (requires voting since there can only be one)
e) I would like to volunteer as a regional administrator (in charge of local events) in Gothenburg/Stockholm (requires voting since there can only be one of each region)
f) I would like to volunteer as something else

I need these at latest next Friday so people can have time to vote for specific people for the different positions in case we have multiple people applying for the same position.

Now let's start hosting more tours!

BTW. A new guy just signed up as an anonymous donor for about $80 (500SEK) a month

I would like to volunteer as the one in charge of the SBWI economy. I'll also be bringing this up in person at the meeting on Sunday the 21st, but I figure I might as well announce my intentions in the thread as well .
If you have no idea who I am, then you're either not living in Stockholm, or you haven't been to any SBWI-events yet (in both cases: get your act together!) If you do live in the Stockholm area though, we've probably met at one BroodBar or another, I'm the blond, doritos-loving, skinny, beer-snob who usually gets into heated arguments with Jaevlaterran about whether or not the build being used is an FD.
I'm not a professional as far as managing an organization's economy goes, but I'm not completely without experience either. Perhaps most importantly, I'm willing to put a lot of time and effort into SBWI, since BroodWar is my passion and deserves nothing less than all I have.

... and now this is starting to sound like a really nerdy and weird job application :p
Anyhow, I wouldn't mind helping out with Marketing and PR either, but I'm hesitant to volunteer for that position since I don't have any experience with that stuff outside of a classroom.

I'll see some of you guys on Sunday, and hopefully I'll also meet every single TL-regular/BW-fan in the area the next time we're watching some games and enjoying some unhealthy snacks and beverages

Can a (still) non-member be allowed to attend the meeting and if so, how do I get there?

I want to join, and possibly assist with web design depending what needs to be done.

We decided on the board being:

Chairman (leader): Jaevlaterran
Treasurer (economy): TehRei
PR (marketing): Epoxide
Regional Administrator of Gothenburg (leader in Gothenburg): Abjurer
Senior web designer: Mutisk
Junior web designer: vOddy

Protocol: With the exception of general discussion, this was what was decided:

1.
The voting resulted in the alternative being "One big and several small tourneys" winning. We will host our own (not sponsor) flagship 1v1 tournament that will be a returning event if successful. Regarding the smaller ones they will be some "for fun tours" and some more serious types of BW that just haven't got the sponsors to get bigger tours. Exactly what type of tours will be revealed as they are organized but I can spoiler a little about them. We discussed tours involving some new maps, 2v2, team melee and Tandem Starcraft.

2. Sponsoring ISL4
As a result of the drama surrounding the organization of the SBWI NW we have decided not to primarily focus on sponsoring events where we can not fully control the organization. ISL4 is therefore not a priority (our own tours will be instead) but is left as a possibility depending on funds.

3. Website
We have decided to get a proper website with all information on etc. to further improve our credability and organization. Mutisk will lead the web design team consisting of himself and vOddy. They are both studying web design and Mutisk will design this website as his final project in one course. Jaevlaterran has a server-computer that will work as the website's sever. Hopefully we can make this website available in mutliple languages (English, Russian most likely).
