They don't even have the rights to show the games on their GOMTV VOD service in Korea.

to anyone's knowledge, has this ever happened before? also this would not be the first time jon747 overreacted to something that was not a big deal. A lot of this feels fishy to me

If this means no more videos from MSL + OSL + Proleague, then yeah I think this is a huge deal.

According to this, he can still upload all regarded ProLeague, MSL and OSL, meanwhile it has nothing related to GOM TV, like sponsorships, ect.. BTW I must say I got GOM TV vods in my youtube channel, not many, but havent received a warning yet

1) If someone files a copyright complaint, do they do this to youtube or to the owner (Baezzi) of the channel? 2) If it's youtube, does TY only pass along the message without actually taking down the previously uploaded vods themselves? It seems Baezzi is still in control of which videos he wants to take down. 3) Can someone fake copyright complaints since it makes so little sense with the gretech/gom/msl stuff

If Teamliquid improves VODs section then nobody has to visit youtube to see those ugly VOD names typed there.

If they serve it to the owner, it's likely a demand letter of some kind asking the owner to take it down without legal trouble. If they serve it the ISP, then it's an actual DMCA violation form they filled out and serve it to youtube. 2) When YT is served with DMCA violation notice, Youtube has to take down the alleged videos. However they will pass on the message to the owner, and owner has i think 20 days to dispute about whether the content violates copyright. 3) I am pretty sure it's hard to fake it, google probably has team of lawyers checking out dmca violations and make sure they are legit before taking down the video.
